Colt Ford Opens For Jake Owen

Last Saturday we made a last minute decision to go to the Crawford County Fair to meet up with a booking agent that hubby works with for entertainment for our fair.  When we got there we got a tour of their (newer) facilities and were backstage during load in for Jake Owen with opener Colt Ford.  Right away I noticed TWO of these semi-trucks with Jake's tour graphics on them!  Of course I had to snap a pic - moreso because of the 'Love Bus' you see behind me.

I know I keep saying I'm not much of a country fan.  Sometimes I like certain songs but I can't really say I'm a huge fan overall.  It's just that these opportunities keep popping up and with everything we do with work and volunteering for our fair I'm surrounded by country music.  (In case you didn't know I'm in radio and one of our stations is a country station).  I really like seeing the functionality of everything behind the scenes.  I like the stage area, the light, the sound...I guess that goes back to my theatre days in high school. Not only was I in theatre but I was with the stage crew, too!

So anyways...this concert was Jake Owen with opener Colt Ford.  It was entertaining.  Colt Ford does like rap-country mix.  More on that in a bit.

We had Jake at our fair about 4 years ago and he's a super nice guy and has only grown since then.

When Colt opened for Jake he really got the crowd going but there was over 40 minutes in between him and Jake which was excessive.

As you can see in these pics and videos the stage shows were very different...hence the 40 minute down time.



Colt Ford covered Eminem's Lose Yourself from 8-Mile.  That was pretty cool.
This short clip shows the Beach Ball Party going on!  From a sponsor standpoint this was a great way to get the sponsors name out there which was Toyota.

Media Lunch & Media Happenings

This week you will see a lot of posts having to do with last weeks' county fair.  Yesterday I blogged about the food I consumed and a few furry friends I made.  Today I thought I would tell you a bit about the media side including the Media Lunch as well as some of our radio interviews during our live remote broadcasts.

First up - the Media Lunch.  There were over 50 people who attended and speakers included various fair board members and volunteers as well as a politician and a few people from our vacation bureau.

These beautiful arrangements were the table centerpieces!

Most of the attendees had chicken but there were two of us who didn't consume it.  The one was a girl I have known for years and she has Celiac and Wheat allergies and I don't consume animal products.  We were so blessed that the organizers made us a special mixed greens salad with veggies and cute strawberries topped with Balsamic.  It was wonderful!  And greatly appreciated!  The main organizer was the wife of one of the fair board directors and her former in laws were strict vegetarians so she understood where I was coming from!  A great time was had by all during the Media Lunch.

This year there was a new bench dedicated to our former morning show host, sales manager, and dear friend who passed away from cancer about a year and a half ago.

Here's a photo of the bench - it turned out wonderful!  One of the fair board directors made it!  We placed it in front of our radio booth and will also store it in there during the winter months, too, to protect it from the elements!

We were able to interview so many different people throughout the week!  It was fun!

One of the interviews we did was with The Swon Brothers on Tuesday afternoon.  They performed live on stage later that evening.  The brothers were super nice.  If you are fans of the TV Show "The Voice" they may ring a bell to you!  They did a great interview that afternoon and were a couple of fun guys!  You can see me here with my ponytail which I sported most of the week for a few different reasons.  One being I need to get my hair trimmed and colored and the other reason being it was just easier to deal with during the week with all of the running around we were doing.  We had a pretty neat set-up then again we have been doing this each year it seems to get better each time we do it.

When I do my post about the 4 concerts last week I will get into each performance a bit more.

But in the meantime here's a closer look at the interview we did.

For the most part the weather was pretty good.

It poured pretty hard core on Monday afternoon and evening and sprinkled a bit after that but mostly it was bearable weather-wise.

Another funny thing about being on the radio during fair week is everyone wants you to do things out of your comfort zone.  My husband has always wanted to operate a huge tractor and a few of the other track guys put me on one to tease my husband.  I got to operate one before he did.  He was so jealous.  But he was able to drive one around during the parade they did on the track later in the week.  Here's a snapshot of the two of us on a huge John Deere Tractor.  I was sitting funny so it's not all that flattering but my eyes look really blue - don't they?

Happy Mail & Crazy Color!

A bit more of back-log-blogging before I start posting about my WNY VegFest Adventures from the weekend.  I have some HAPPY MAIL and Crazy Color to share with you right now!

First up...Happy Mail from NuNaturals!  They repackaged the Oat Fiber and sent some more of the flavored stevia and syrups!  I will be doing more with these in the very near future that is for sure!

You may remember a few months ago that 52 Teas was doing a KickStarter Campaign to change hands from Frank to Anne.  Well, it happened and the new owners have taken over 52 Teas and sent the KickStarter perks to those you participated!  Here are the reblends I received and I am super excited about them!

PLUS the company will remain vegan and organic!  Woot!  Congrats and THANKS to Anne and her daughter for continuing this label or great teas!

I have already tried their Pancake Breakfast Black Tea and LOVE it!  I think it's more bakey-crusty tasting than before and I'm LOVING that!

This morning I received a surprise in the mail from OPAL!  She hand-made this amazingly beautiful knit hat and also send some embossing folders for my Cuttlebug Machine.

I really MUST get back into scrappin' and paper craftin'!

Maybe after fair is over :)

The hat will surely come in handy for the cold winters here.  She knows I LOVE LOVE LOVE hats!  And she's incredibly talented!  She is brilliant with fiber crafts!

In other news...

The rooftop garden is going very well!  We didn't do as much of a variety of things this year but what we are trying is doing well!

We started these peppers inside several months ago and actually these three peppers were indoor and window sill gardening attempts.  We didn't take these outside.

These are SUPER HOT!!!  I like spicy but I will be using these in moderation that is for sure!

They are about the length of my finger so they are pretty small but pack a powerful punch!

And I have been blogging about how we are gearing up for fair time and this is where this next photo comes into play!

This year we are going to have a Prize Wheel and here is what it looks like.  My father let us borrow it from his work and DH altered it.  Doesn't it look COOL!?  What CRAZY COLOR, eh?  Sure is colorful!  And we already have a LOT of prizes to giveaway!  That is above and beyond all of the travel mugs we are given to pass out from a local company and this year we also have about 300 bags of chips to pass out, too!  There will be 4 concerts in 5 days so that is where most of my time will be spent once radio life is wrapped up for the day!

My Blissful Camping Journey Begins

Because of all the goodies I have been sharing and contests and giveaways I have been slacking on my other posts but I have LOTS to share! Over the next couple of weeks I have LOTS going on so I will be schedule-posting a lot of things and when I get back from fair week in a few weeks I will have many more posts to share.

As you can see above I have something new to tell you about!  Yup!  We bought a camper!  We do have an older camper that is 'planted' up in the woods near my husband's family's land but that has been there since we bought it YEARS ago and will remain there.  This recent purchase is the one we will be 'babying'.  For the most part we will be storing it at the fair grounds and doing a lot of camping there.  Maybe next year we will branch out and take it places but for now we have a plan and that plan involved being at the grounds most of this year.  Hubby's on the fair board and I've been helping when I can.  Last night I stained a wishing well and over the weekend I stained a few decks near the Entertainment Office and Radio Booth.  Saturday there was a show and I worked the food booth, too!

Friday Night and again on Sunday I took Cricket with me over to the grounds.  She really enjoyed it.  Hubby's aunt/uncle's dog Abby was there and the two of them played a while.  Before going back on Sunday I took Cricket over to my parents house and she played with their dog Lexi.  She was quite active this weekend.  I took her into the camper for the first time and as you can see she approved!

The fair is less than 3 weeks away and it seems we are living and breathing everything fair!  Not only is Dale on the fair board we are there full time there for work that week, too!  One of the things I will be posting about is my adventures in mostly vegan food that week like I did last year but this year I will be there even more than previous years so I am sure I will have more to share this time around!  That and the music!  We have 4 concerts this year!  AND new to the radio booth we will have a prize wheel!  AND we always pass out 3 or 4 thousand Whirley Mugs and this year we will pass out about 300 bags of chips for free, too!  Yes...it will be a busy one!  OH!  And I almost forget...this year I will be Dale's co-host on the air each day! 

I'm sure I will have more pictures and posts from the fair grounds before, during, and after that week.  In the meantime I thought I would also show you a neat pic of one of the mushrooms I saw last weekend!

Football Day!

Last week I posted a photo that my father sent me from the Buffalo Bills Game.  It had been a while since I was able to attend a Football Game.  Later in the week my parents asked my husband and I if we wanted to go with them on Sunday to the Buffalo and Minnesota Game.  We said yes and off we went!  I was able to take a bunch of photos - most of which turned out well. 

If you are not familiar with the Buffalo Bills then you may not know that our long time team owner Ralph Wilson passed away earlier this year.  The stadium was renamed after him prior to his passing but this is the first time I had been able to get a pic of this sign.

Because we had a 2+ hour drive we tend to get there earlier than most people.  We were in one of the suites and I took this 2nd photo prior to the game...that is why there aren't many people in the seats YET.

It was a sold out game.  It was chilly yesterday - but since we were inside the temperature was very comfy (minus the air conditioning blasts on occasions!)  I was able to gnaw on some nachos with 3 different kinds of salsa but there were non-veg options for the other people enjoying the game as well.  I ate a little something before we got there because I know I don't eat much when I do go.

We didn't do much Tailgating prior to the game but we figured there was enough people out there making up for us NOT doing so. 

I enjoy people-watching mostly.

This 3rd photo is part of the pre-game festivities on the field.  I will say this is the first year that I've attended a game without seeing the Buffalo Jills (the teams former Cheerleaders).  There are no long cheerleaders for our team due to social and court issues the past few years involving Sexual Harassment and other accusations.

Now that the Cheerleaders are not there to get the crowd pumped up they have added The Stampede which is a really awesome Drum Line.  I enjoyed watching and listening to them but wasn't able to get great photos because they favored the other side of the field more than ours.  Another thing I liked was the flags (Color Guard) prior to the game - but I'm partial because I was in the Color Guard when I was in High School.  I wish they had more of them.

During half time the highlighted the career of our legendary announcer Van Miller.  Van Miller's radio (and TV) career spans 60-some years.  He's a MAJOR part of sports history in Western New York.  He's in his upper 80s now and his health isn't great.  He was the 29th person on the Wall of Fame and the recognition and unveiling took place yesterday during half time.  I'm so excited to have seen it happen right in front of me.  They brought him out in this car right on to the field so he didn't have to walk or stand.  It was pretty classy!

The majority of the game was a snoozer - too many flags, penalties, and turn overs.  BUT...then it happened...with about a minute left...the game FINALLY turned around...and it was awesome...and looking back the wait was totally worth it!

YUP!  I finally attended a game where MY team actually WON!  It wasn't pretty but it was still a win! 

I had a lot of fun with my husband, mom, and dad!  I'm so excited they invited us!

Looking back I should have taken video on my phone on the way back to the car.  The crowd was CRAZY!  And speaking of CRAZY...I can't help but put this photo....

My husband took the pic and told me this morning that he changed it to his profile photo on Facebook.  I guess he's had a lot of comments on it but have 'no idea why'...lol...

I haven't been on Facebook in about 3 months...I guess I just needed a break.  PLUS...I have been enjoying Instagram more, lately!

And that is my father in the background, too!  This was taken in the  middle of the game prior to the BIG PLAY that turned everything around for my BUFFALO BILLS!

Indoor Gardening & Container Gardening - Getting a Game Plan & Starting

(I originally had this as a schedule post for tomorrow - but - I decided to move it up to today - and will tell you WHY - in the very near future!)

It has begun!  The Indoor Gardening Process for our Rooftop Garden at work!  YAY!  Last Saturday - 3 of us came in and started our 'game plan'.  We also started our first 'flight' of indoor 'from seed' attempts.  As I mentioned in previous posts - we are reusing many items for this project.

In this first photo you will see that we are using 3 long and narrow wooden boxes.  In these 3 boxes we are doing 3 different kinds of onions.  One in each box.  We are jokingly calling the middle one our "Ron Burgundy Onions" - they are really called RED Burgundy Onions...but all three of us thought they same thing.

We obtained these wooden containers from our 'junk room' at work.  Prior to the 'junk room' these wooden boxes were holding old 45's.  Since we will never be using those again since everything is digital we decided to reuse them and put them to work.  The place I work is inside a very old building.  A few rooms that are being used as storage and not for public use because I doubt they are up to code - are gems in themselves.  There are OLD 'leftovers' from pre-1940 in there.  One of the items is an old retail display case with plastic drawers...big enough to fit shoes in.  There are roughly 30 of these.  We used some of them in the photo above to catch the drainage water from the boxes.  We also used them to prop up the wooden boxes so they could get more sun from the window.  If you look in the 2nd photo you will see some small sections we are trying to start.  If they work - we hope to transplant them.  They are Brussels Sprouts.  In the empty space between the two - we ended up putting two 1.5 gallon buckets.  One with Carrots and the other one with Broccoli.  We drilled holes in the bottom of each of those and put them in those clear plastic drawers as well.
On the other side of the room we are using old CD Jewel Case Holders - with holes on the back/bottom for drainage - and put in the clear plastic drawers.  So far - mostly - in these we are doing various greens!  Lettuces - all different colors and kinds - and Kale.  We hope to have these indoors for about 4 to 6 weeks and then harden them off and take them outside.  We have TONS of other plans but are going to space them out.  As for the set up indoors...we ended up reusing old wood and surfaces to make the "tables" and hugged them up to each window.  I will keep you posted on any progress!

"LETTUCE" Start Container Gardening!

Tomorrow a few co-workers and I are going to meet on our day off to get a 'Game Plan' for our Rooftop Garden.  Since we will be doing mostly Container Gardening on the Rooftop Garden we have a few "from seed" hopes and dream on tap and have received our first batch of seeds from that company.

We hope to place an order with one more company for seeds soon, too!

In addition we have a few places locally that we hope to get some "starters" from so we aren't relying solely on the 'from seed' attempts.

BUT...one of the things I overlooked - and I don't know WHY - Lettuce!  You see, one of the many things we are going to do with this Container Garden/Rooftop Garden is RE-USE various things around the stations that we would never use again but have been in storage for YEARS now!  We have found MANY old CD Storage Units as well as old hand-made wooden boxes we used to hold and file different sized records throughout the years.  We will be drilling holes in the bottom and sides for drainage, too!  But because most of these are smaller - or should I say - not as deep - we are going to put herbs in them - and just today we discussed various lettuces.  From the research we've done - it seems like they would do well in the shorter containers.  So, yeah...tomorrow we will have our first worker-bee and I will report back next week with some of our progress!

Blissful "Techie" Journey ~ XM Devices

Just a quick post to let you know that I got a new XM Onyx Device and Kit for my car last week!  Hubby was nice enough to install it while I was at work!  Here is a photo of what it looks like!  It's MUCH different than my old one which I LOVED.  But I figured it was time to finally move on and get a new one because it fit better in and with my new car - my 2013 Fiat - or as I like to call it "The Wonder Buggy."

I've been a XM (Sirius/XM) Subscriber even before the merge of the two companies.  Mostly because I wanted to still enjoy radio without having to listen to the stations I work for (and listen to for 50 hours a week while working) and/or didn't want to listen to our local competitors and feel like a traitor!  I still get a lot of negative comments from my fellow radio people because most think Satellite Radio will 'kill' local radio.  I don't necessarily feel that way.  This is a PAID service were as local radio is ALWAYS FREE.  But I can see both sides! 

But I don't want to get into a debate about the pros and cons.  I just want to show you my new Techie-Type-Toy!

This is a photo of my old device which was an XM Roady!  It was awesome!  I LOVED it!  I'm sure I will LOVE my Onyx but it will take some getting used to change-wise.  My Roady was reliable!  I had it for nearly 10 years - if memory serves!  I never had 1 problem with it!

I'm hoping this new device works just as well if not better!  I like the sleek look and the black-techie color matches everything in my Fiat!  The screen color we currently have set to a reddish color to match the lights on the dash in the "Wonder Buggy".  The only bad part is I have to reset all of my favorites/pre-sets.  But at least there are a few more buttons to store my favorites in as I have MANY that I listen to and switch back and forth to often!

More From Fair Week, Kitchen Duty & Volunteering, Paco's Pleased!

I know I am hopping all around with these posts but I am trying to pair them together a bit so I don't have 84 different random posts!  HA!

First off...more from Fair Week!  Like I said - last week was NUTS - but flew by!  This year our Radio Booth was by-far the BEST Set-up for the Remotes that we have every had there and we've been there for roughly 30 years broadcasting.  We partnered with the WCCBI (the Chamber in our county) and they let us use their Events Trailer!

One of the other things I do during Fair Week is volunteer!  I try and see 'what I can do where' and end up in at least 1 kitchen that week.  I've usually been in the Cafe/Kitchen in the center of the action.  It's fun and can get VERY busy!  When customers purchase food and beverage from these kitchens and cafes the money goes directly to the fair, their grounds, and future events!  Saturday I worked 2 to 6 in the Cafe and then rode over via golf cart to work at the Track Kitchen from 6 until about 10:30 or so.  This year was the first time I have been asked to work the Track Kitchen.  It was fun but WAY different than the Cafe Kitchen.  When you get really busy is when it gets FUN and bit SILLY.  During my time at the Cafe one of the other volunteers had to grab the chilli for the Chilli Dogs and 7 of us were trying to search HI and LO for the Can Opener!  We couldn't find it but we came across another one that NO ONE could figure out how to use or make it function!  Long story short - we had a good laugh about it - eventually we called for 'back-up' and got the can open!  So this is a 'funny-ha-ha photo' of that "Can Opener Incident".  Another funny thing that happened but at the Track Kitchen was at the very END of the night - after the races - MUD flew randomly THRU the windows and got caked-on the outer cooler glass doors.  Of course we closed after that and cleaned it up right away but it was funny to see!

 The Furkids are very happy to see Fair Week come to an end because that means their lazy evenings with 'mom and dad' are 'back to normal'.  I totally LOVE it when they snuggle with us and BOY oh BOY have they been!

I mean, LOOK at these photo's of PACO!  This first one was at the end of last week.  I tried staying up to about 2 or 2:30am to spend time with them so my sleep pattern was pretty screwy all week!


Then over the weekend Paco decided to start playing with his one blanket again after a few weeks of 'play-hiatus', that is.

He's also started to play with SOCKS again!  This cracks me up because he flings them all over the Living Room!

Suzie and Riley have been stuck to me like glue as well.  I'm not going to lie!  I LOVE IT!

Gabby and Charlie have been happy in their own way, too!

Between Fair Week and the posts OPAL has been posting lately about her two new Bunnies - I'm thinking about adopting one in the future but want to educate myself, more, first!

Marty Stuart Concert

Yes, it's true!  I'm going to be a posting FOOL this week!  I'll probably average at least 2 posts per day!  I'm trying to catch up on a bunch of stuff from the last week or so PLUS have brand new stuff to share with you...including the post before this one - food from last night!  BUT...this post that you are reading now is of the 2nd concert I attended last week at our County Fair!  On Wednesday Night we had the Legendary Marty Stuart on our stage!  I'm still waiting for the Meet & Greet Photos.  I didn't take them but I should get them soon!  In the meantime, here are a few from that night!  This first one I did take while standing next to our security guards from in between back stage and the side of the stage.  As you can see we were able to use those "Big Screens" again on each side from the night before.  They came in very handy and many people commented on them!

Marty Stuart's Crew Manager and Crew were great!  He was very calm, cool, and nice!  We did a Meet & Greet outside of the Backstage Area by his Tour Bus prior to the show and then he come out to sign autographs after the show and stayed until the last person was able to meet him and his band!  How cool is that!?  I LOVE it when the entertainers stay to meet the concert goers and fans!

In addition to my husband taking care of the entertainment as a part of his duties being on the fair board - his uncle (and cousin) have both been helping the last couple of years in the building as well!  Here you can see a pic of DH's uncle talking to Marty Stuart backstage after the signings! 

I have to say I enjoyed getting my picture taken with Marty because he isn't very tall!  It made me feel "normal height" LOL.  He was just a few inches taller than me but then his hair was teased up a few inches too and I am pretty sure he had a few inches in the boot area as well!

Easton Corbin Concert

Last Tuesday at the Warren County Fair was the 1st of 3 concerts during Fair Week.  This year our Country Headliner was Easton Corbin.  I must confess I am not the best person to be speaking about Country Music but because that is one of 3 formats for the radio cluster I work for I know 'a little' just not as much as I do about other music genres.  I usually help with the "Meet & Greets" as a part of my my job at the radio stations but also because DH is on the board.  I can tell you his crew was very friendly and fun to work with.  Easton was a very nice guy!  He put on a great show!

Everyone seemed pretty excited about the show!  He did a couple of songs for the encore and then met with the Fan Club Members.  We had a VIP Winner and her guest for the Radio Stations Promotion as well as about 2 dozen Fair Board Members and/or their families.

It's hard to believe this took place a week ago already!  WOW!
A great show paired with a wonderful crew and talent is always refreshing for a successful fair concert for all involved!  We were blessed with a week full of VERY NICE guys!  More on that in near future posts, tho!

As you can see I DID get some sun that day!  Actually I got sun all week!  It was probably the BEST weather we had in several years!  It usually is so hot and humid no one wants to move or it POURS nearly all week!  It was in the upper 70s and mid 80s most of the time with a misting of rain on 2 partial days.  This last photo is of me, Easton, and my husband on the left and our newest marketing person on the right.

Scenic Shots, Community Fun, Chihuahua Butts, Cardboard Characters, and Funky Vegan Food

It's been another BUSY week and it's just going to get busier and busier!  Earlier in the week I told you about going out to eat last Friday at a local Golf Course/Restaurant.  Here are some photos from the overlook.  I took these from our table!  I LOVE all that GREEN!  Funnies part...I can't GOLF to save my life but I LOVE looking at the scenic views of the different courses.  I think we are going to go back again tonight. 

The name of the Golf Course is Jackson Valley Country Club.  They have re-done the restaurant and bar area and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a nice little salad bar last week!  I think I am going to smuggle in some of my own "Earth Balance" and "Organic Brown Sugar" from Wholesome Sweeteners for my Baked Sweet Potato.

I also mentioned earlier this week about the Community Event that we attended this past weekend.  I was so bummed I forgot to take some photos of our area but a friend of ours took this one and I just noticed it on Facebook today!  He did the tye-dye shirts for us!  My sister didn't come this past weekend but my mom and dad are pictured here with me.  For this weekend we will be at Nobel Winery in Westfield, NY.  We also plan to spend some time at camp but the weather is supposed to be really cold this weekend!  I can't believe it was 93 earlier this week and there were reports of SNOW this morning about 10 minutes from my house!  My husband's family has a little over 100 acres in the woods nearby so I hope Sunday to take some photos of that!

This week at work has been NUTS once again!  We had another remote today - Part 2 - at the local car dealership.  It was fun!  LOTS of interviews with the staff and it went really smooth!  I found this cute lil guy in the corner and HAD to take a snap of it.  I took this with Opal's Daughter in mind!  I think she'll find it cute - Happy Belated Birthday by the way!

I had another online shopping experience this week over at VitaCost and I will blog about that next week!  I didn't get that much, really, but some neat Sprouting options and a few things I was totally out of like Tahini, Nutritional Yeast, and I finally decided to get some Coconut Oil/Butter.

I've been very busy around the house this week in the evenings!  I have been cleaning like a crazy person!  The 'furkids' don't really like that I am not there to snuggle up with in the evenings but there is work to be done! 

FINALLY after a few hours of running around the house the other night I laid down and watched an episode of NASHVILLE on Hulu Plus.  We don't have Cable/Satellite but we do have Netflix and Hulu Plus.  It saves a LOT of money!  Anyhow...as you can see here Paco appreciated the fact I decided to 'call it quits for the evening'.  It was just too funny NOT to take a photo of his lil Chihuhua Behind!

Now on to the FOOD for this past week, eh!?  One night I decided to just pile my plate high of various things I had on stash!  It's hard to tell by looking at it but here is what this large dinner plate included the one evening...Green Beans, Baby Red Potatoes - Pan Fried with Grapeseed Oil and Savory Spinach from Wildtree (also used a little California Blend), and I did some Maple Tempeh over Baby Spinach with a Lemon Garlic Marinade/Salad Dressing I got from Wegman's a while back that was clearly marked VEGAN.  It is darned-tasty for a store-bought dressing!  With the Tempeh leftovers I ended up doing a large salad with greens - mostly Spinach, Yellow Heirloom Tomatoes, the dressing mentioned above, and carrots.

I have been eye-balling this Wildtree Asian Skillet Meal for a while now and I finally decided to do something with it the other night.  I had some Rice Noodles that I cooked up and added the Asian Skillet Meal from Wildtree to it along with some Water, Veggie Bouillon, Green Beans, and Bragg's Liquid Aminos.  It was just the right kind of spicy.  It worked out really well and made a nice large batch so I had leftovers for lunches.  I was so excited that this was another vegan Wildtree option!

Last night I had the munchies and wanted to work off some of the things I had on hand I wanted to finish-up or get rid of.  I found some Artichokes and roasted them up and made this Vegan Dip for them.  The dip has the following in it:
4 T Vegan Mayo
1 tea Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tea Wildtree Lemon Pepper
1 T Minced Garlic

And since I usually have dips around my house I made this one last night, too, to have on hand for a quick snack.  It's a Zesty Lemon Lima Bean Dip and I got the idea in a back issue of Vegetarian Times.  Of course I put my own little twist on it.  It has 1 C Lima Beans, A Splash of Jalapeno Grapeseed Oil, 1 T or more of Minced Garlic, 1 tea Red Pepper Flakes, 1 or 2 T Lemon Juice, and a little bit of water.  It was pretty good!  I hope to make more dips with a Lima Bean base soon!
