PICK 3 ~ Can't Believe They're Vegan...But They Are! (Tea Edition)

If you have been around my blog for a while you may have already seen me post about the 52 Teas - Tea Company - but I specifically wanted to blog about this company for TWO reasons today!  ONE being because ALL of the teas they offer are VEGAN and you won't believe some of the flavors (more on that in a moment) and the OTHER REASON is they are doing a KickStarter for the Holiday Season NOW!  (more on that towards the end of this post!)

First up...3 (of the MANY flavors you won't believe are vegan but are) from 52 Teas!

* Hot Buttered Banana Bread which is a Black Tea base ( not to be outdone by the Pancake Breakfast Black Tea but I think that was a re-blend that is no longer being offered)  Anne - if you are reading this correct me if I'm wrong! Another one HAS to be their Mango Ice Cream Black Tea offering, too!  Be sure to check that out!

* Moving on to other tea bases outside of the black tea base realm...Lime Jello Salad Green Tea.  YES...I'm serious!  It's Vegan!  But wait until you see this next one...Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha!  It smells JUST LIKE Marshmellows but rest assured the tea flavor is VEGAN!  52 Teas has been known to create various CHEESE CAKE flavored teas and tisanes - one of them being Maple Cheesecake Tie Guan Yin.

* But WAIT...there's MORE...check out their Honeybush section!  It's INSANELY wonderful!  Flavors like...Banana Coconut Upside Cake, Raspberry Cream Cheese Danish, and White Grasshopper Honeybush...just to name a few!

Be sure to take a look at their KickStarter and start your holiday shopping NOW!  If you haven't tried their teas yet do yourself a favor and order some of their tasters I know you will LOVE the creativity and love that goes behind every blend!  Anne is a great person and her and her daughter really put their hearts and souls into this tea company!

Also...if you would like to read some reviews prior to ordering from this lovely company be sure to check out The 52 Teas REVIEWS over at Sororitea Sisters.

Happy Mail & Crazy Color!

A bit more of back-log-blogging before I start posting about my WNY VegFest Adventures from the weekend.  I have some HAPPY MAIL and Crazy Color to share with you right now!

First up...Happy Mail from NuNaturals!  They repackaged the Oat Fiber and sent some more of the flavored stevia and syrups!  I will be doing more with these in the very near future that is for sure!

You may remember a few months ago that 52 Teas was doing a KickStarter Campaign to change hands from Frank to Anne.  Well, it happened and the new owners have taken over 52 Teas and sent the KickStarter perks to those you participated!  Here are the reblends I received and I am super excited about them!

PLUS the company will remain vegan and organic!  Woot!  Congrats and THANKS to Anne and her daughter for continuing this label or great teas!

I have already tried their Pancake Breakfast Black Tea and LOVE it!  I think it's more bakey-crusty tasting than before and I'm LOVING that!

This morning I received a surprise in the mail from OPAL!  She hand-made this amazingly beautiful knit hat and also send some embossing folders for my Cuttlebug Machine.

I really MUST get back into scrappin' and paper craftin'!

Maybe after fair is over :)

Again a HUGE Thank You to OPAL for these!

The hat will surely come in handy for the cold winters here.  She knows I LOVE LOVE LOVE hats!  And she's incredibly talented!  She is brilliant with fiber crafts!

In other news...

The rooftop garden is going very well!  We didn't do as much of a variety of things this year but what we are trying is doing well!

We started these peppers inside several months ago and actually these three peppers were indoor and window sill gardening attempts.  We didn't take these outside.

These are SUPER HOT!!!  I like spicy but I will be using these in moderation that is for sure!

They are about the length of my finger so they are pretty small but pack a powerful punch!

And I have been blogging about how we are gearing up for fair time and this is where this next photo comes into play!

This year we are going to have a Prize Wheel and here is what it looks like.  My father let us borrow it from his work and DH altered it.  Doesn't it look COOL!?  What CRAZY COLOR, eh?  Sure is colorful!  And we already have a LOT of prizes to giveaway!  That is above and beyond all of the travel mugs we are given to pass out from a local company and this year we also have about 300 bags of chips to pass out, too!  There will be 4 concerts in 5 days so that is where most of my time will be spent once radio life is wrapped up for the day!

EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS...so if you are reading this and a buddy of mine and you can even do the $5 pledge that would help out immensely!

Soups & Social Media

Just a quick little check in today with a HELLO to all!  I HAD to share this soup photo with you but because I wanted to submit it as a possible feature over at The Raw Food World NEWS Site under their RECIPE Section I thought I would wait to mention what's in it. I have to say I'm pretty proud of this soup, tho!  The main ingredient is BEET and YES those are Hemp Seeds you are seeing!  Eventho I'm not a girlie-girl and not fond of the color PINK the color of this soup is out of this world!  The flavor was amazing, too!  It's considered a RAW VEGAN Soup as well!

In other news...
There is only 2 days left on my friend Anne's Kickstarter Campaign if you have a few bucks to help her out it would be greatly appreciated!  She's in the process of trying to purchase and take over 52 Teas which is a really creative tea companies that prides themselves on organic and vegan ingredients.  Read more about this and contribute HERE

Incase you aren't already following me on InstaGram you can find me HERE.  I try and post at least 1 photo everyday but most days I go a little crazy and post several and especially with the upcoming plans we have I will be posting almost everything on InstaGram before I post it anywhere else.  If you are on InstaGram make sure you let me know in comments!

Kickstarter for 52 Teas Takeover!

Many things have been happening the last few months!  Many of which I still have to announce here on my blog!  So...today...I want to check two of those announcements off of my check list!  First up...The Takeover of 52 Teas and the Kickstarter Campaign!  No-No...I'm NOT the person taking over 52 Teas but my very good friend and Sororitea Sister Anne is!!!  For those of you who are friends of ours in the tea world and those of you who have been a reader of this site for a while you may remember I am a bit of a TEA FREAK!  Anne and I co-created/founded Sororitea Sisters - an online tea review site and it's been going strong for about 5 years now!

Anne is in the process of taking over 52 Teas from Frank the previous owner and creator of the brand.  Therefore, she alongside with her beautiful daughter, they are 'all in' on raising funds to make this happen!  Their GOAL is to keep the 52 Teas brand alive!  What makes this brand so special?  The 52 Teas customer base has kind of a cult following...it's based on a NEW unique and creative flavor of tea every week of the year!  And when I say UNIQUE I mean it!  Above you can see some of their best sellers!  But what makes THIS tea company even MORE special is that it's VEGAN and Organic!   So when you see the "cheesecake" flavors and the novelTEAs like the ones with Marshmellows in them...they are ALL made with VEGAN ingredients!  Woot!

That is why I am so excited about this Kickstarter Campaign.  Of course I am partial because ANNE and her daughter are behind it - but - they are keeping and moving forward with everything being VEGAN and organic!  I've never posted a Kickstarter Campaign announcement on my blog before.  But I totally believe in this one!  I have never contributed to a campaign either - but - I will be backing this one!  I haven't decided which level to do - I'm thinking the $65 level but am very tempted by the $110 level, too!  Not only to help out but because of the incentives!  They are offering their teas, of course, but they also have some awesome logo-ed canvas bags and tea tumbles among other cool ways to be involved!

EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS...so if you are reading this and a buddy of mine and you can even do the $5 pledge that would help out immensely!  They are collecting funds until the end of THIS MONTH.  At the time of this post they were a little over $2,500 raised and their goal is $10,000...with your help they can keep the 52 Teas dream alive!

If you have had any of the 52 Teas before - let me know what your favorites are in comments!  Thanks so much, everyone!
