Just a quick post today because I seemed to be running out of time again! YIKES!
Last week The Vegan Zombie passed his Kickstarter goal of $80,000 to start producing his VEGAN Sci-Fi Movie A44. I donated a very little bit to the campaign on the last day! Can't wait to hear about the progress!
I received my shipment from Vegan Essentials and over the next couple of weeks will be sharing with you some of the things I ordered.
Today I have 3 Daiya items that were in that shipment, actually.
First up is this 4 Cheese Style with Herbs Cheezy Mac. Here, locally, I am able to get the 'cheese' packets and in Lakewood they sometimes have the other 2 macs. I have been able to try them and they are ok but it's not something I buy a lot. This was also ok...again...not something I would buy weekly...or even monthly! But it's good for a treat or on occasion. I did like the addition of the herbs to the mix. The pasta noodles were a little strange but didn't taste bad. Just different, really.
The other two items are these Cheeze Sticks. I bought one of each as you can see. The Cheddar Style and the Moz Style.
So far I have eaten both of them as a snack. Convenient for on the go. I think they have more flavor than the block style cheeses. I assumed they used the same base as their blocks and just cut it different but Daiya responded on my IG photo saying that it's their own recipe blend specifically for the sticks. Interesting.
I have also tried these Cheddar sticks finely chopped and tossed and melted in with regular pasta noodles, almond milk, Earth Balance, and a bit of nooch. It turned out pretty good for just throwing everything in. I will say that the flavor of it melted is more of a sharper cheddar than I remember from Daiya's other products. I think I like using this better than the shreds, actually!
I might be trying the same method with the Moz sticks later tonight and melting then pouring over pizza. Or maybe I will just add the finely diced Moz to the actual pizza. I haven't made up my mind yet tho.
All-in-all I'm pretty happy with the sticks! I would buy them again if I saw them for the right price! Now...if someone just did vegan string cheese and vegan cheese curds!
Questions of the day...have you tried any of these 3 products from Daiya yet? What did you think?
Did you hear about the Vegan Zombie's Vegan Sci-Fi A44 Movie? Were you able to be a part of the Kickstarter?

1, 3, or 5 Bucks For The Sororitea Sisters?
Hello everyone! Today I wanted to let you know about our Fundraiser on GoFundMe. It's for the Sororitea Sisters Site - a site dedicated to everything tea! Below you will see a note from Anne. She and I co-founded the site back in 2010. We are asking for your help! Can you donate $1? $3? $5? Anything you can donate will help us fund our site! Thanks so much!
Official GoFundMe Note as follows:
My name is Anne, and I'm the administrator and co-creator of the SororiTea Sisters Tea Blog. Since May 2010, the SororiTea Sisters have been dedicated to offering honest reviews of teas that we've tasted. We haven't always enjoyed every tea that we've tasted, but we've always been honest about what we've consumed - the good, the awesome, the not so good, and the bad - for one reason and one reason only: We LOVE tea!
http://sororiteasisters.com
We accept no payment for our reviews. We do accept samples from tea companies in exchange for honest reviews, but we offer no advertising in exchange for financial compensation. In so doing, we are able to freely tell the readers what we think about a tea openly and honestly, without feeling obligated to be nice and/or dishonest about a product because we're being paid to say what we say. We say what we really think!
For the last five years, we've kept the blog going on our own dime. We've paid for the domain registration and the shipping of teas out to our sisters so that they have fresh teas to review. It's been a struggle to do this, and so now we're reaching out to you - our readers! - in the hope that you enjoy our blog enough to help us keep the domain - it's time to renew! - and also help us defer some of the shipping costs.
Thank you for your assistance and your belief in us!

Soups & Social Media
Just a quick little check in today with a HELLO to all! I HAD to share this soup photo with you but because I wanted to submit it as a possible feature over at The Raw Food World NEWS Site under their RECIPE Section I thought I would wait to mention what's in it. I have to say I'm pretty proud of this soup, tho! The main ingredient is BEET and YES those are Hemp Seeds you are seeing! Eventho I'm not a girlie-girl and not fond of the color PINK the color of this soup is out of this world! The flavor was amazing, too! It's considered a RAW VEGAN Soup as well!
In other news...
There is only 2 days left on my friend Anne's Kickstarter Campaign if you have a few bucks to help her out it would be greatly appreciated! She's in the process of trying to purchase and take over 52 Teas which is a really creative tea companies that prides themselves on organic and vegan ingredients. Read more about this and contribute HERE.
Incase you aren't already following me on InstaGram you can find me HERE. I try and post at least 1 photo everyday but most days I go a little crazy and post several and especially with the upcoming plans we have I will be posting almost everything on InstaGram before I post it anywhere else. If you are on InstaGram make sure you let me know in comments!

Kickstarter for 52 Teas Takeover!
Many things have been happening the last few months! Many of which I still have to announce here on my blog! So...today...I want to check two of those announcements off of my check list! First up...The Takeover of 52 Teas and the Kickstarter Campaign! No-No...I'm NOT the person taking over 52 Teas but my very good friend and Sororitea Sister Anne is!!! For those of you who are friends of ours in the tea world and those of you who have been a reader of this site for a while you may remember I am a bit of a TEA FREAK! Anne and I co-created/founded Sororitea Sisters - an online tea review site and it's been going strong for about 5 years now!
Anne is in the process of taking over 52 Teas from Frank the previous owner and creator of the brand. Therefore, she alongside with her beautiful daughter, they are 'all in' on raising funds to make this happen! Their GOAL is to keep the 52 Teas brand alive! What makes this brand so special? The 52 Teas customer base has kind of a cult following...it's based on a NEW unique and creative flavor of tea every week of the year! And when I say UNIQUE I mean it! Above you can see some of their best sellers! But what makes THIS tea company even MORE special is that it's VEGAN and Organic! So when you see the "cheesecake" flavors and the novelTEAs like the ones with Marshmellows in them...they are ALL made with VEGAN ingredients! Woot!
That is why I am so excited about this Kickstarter Campaign. Of course I am partial because ANNE and her daughter are behind it - but - they are keeping and moving forward with everything being VEGAN and organic! I've never posted a Kickstarter Campaign announcement on my blog before. But I totally believe in this one! I have never contributed to a campaign either - but - I will be backing this one! I haven't decided which level to do - I'm thinking the $65 level but am very tempted by the $110 level, too! Not only to help out but because of the incentives! They are offering their teas, of course, but they also have some awesome logo-ed canvas bags and tea tumbles among other cool ways to be involved!
EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS...so if you are reading this and a buddy of mine and you can even do the $5 pledge that would help out immensely! They are collecting funds until the end of THIS MONTH. At the time of this post they were a little over $2,500 raised and their goal is $10,000...with your help they can keep the 52 Teas dream alive!
If you have had any of the 52 Teas before - let me know what your favorites are in comments! Thanks so much, everyone!
