This Is What Happens When I'm Too Lazy To Eat Vegetable Curry...

Yesterday I posted a recipe I used for 'whatever you have in your kitchen' Curry and I had a lot of leftovers but the problem I was having was I wanted something super simple to digest and I was being lazy and didn't want to be a slob and get the huge broccoli chunks all over me.  So I decided to put it in my blender and pulse and this was the outcome.  I know it probably doesn't look pretty to some people but it sure was yummy!  I added a little bit more smoked paprika and turmeric powder!  Yummers!

I figured I would also take this time to do a bit of catching up on what I have been watching, listening to, reading, writing, etc...

What I'm Watching...

Or...should I say...what I watched?  Yup!  I binged watched it and I'm NOT sorry!  I can't wait for season 3

As for music I always have an eclectic mix.  Lately, it's been flashing back to Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty while squeezing in some 90's Billy Joel and Guns N Roses.  Not to mention some random show tunes now and again!  Oh yeah...and some Reggae to lift my mood!

As far as what I'm reading and writing...well...

I write commercials for a living (among other things) so I'm always writing something.  But lately, I have gotten back into writing short poems.  I haven't done this in many years.

As for reading, I'm not like most people...I don't ready books cover to cover.  I read collections of poetry, magazines, cookbooks, and such.

I have so many eBooks that I have been thumbing thru that there are too many to remember but some of them off the top of my head are...

  7. I love your solution with the curry - I do that sort of thing sometimes when I don't want the leftovers yet again but I am not going throw them out. Reincarnated leftovers are the best! I haven't watched stranger things but I like the electic nature of your music and reading/writing - writing both commercials and poetry really takes you from the sublime to the ridiculous - and I am interested you don't read books cover to cover - I gave up on a novel recently and it really upset me not to get to the end but I just had had enough and not the energy to continue as I usually do.

    1. Thanks for your feedback on the leftovers! I also enjoyed your thoughts on the writing. As for the reading - I guess I have always had that problem where I can't sit down and read a novel cover to cover because of my attention span (or lack there of) and my dyslexia. I guess I could elaborate on that in a blog post someday. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting again! So soory it took me so long to find your site again!

  8. Love anything curry and the soup looks great, I need to try blending cooked beans into a curry sauce - yum! Yes on Stranger Things, we're already watched season 2 and will probably watch both season 1 and 2 again before season 3 comes out.

    1. I recently tried to make a Lima Bean Soup and use half of the beans for the base. It needs some work but that was totally MY fault LOL. I think it's doable...I just have to do some experimenting. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lima Beans but I don't eat as much of them as I want to these day...sigh. I agree! I will prob re-watch all of the Stranger Things episodes, too! Great show!

I haven't watched any Stranger Things. I am not very brave and I am afraid it will be too scary for me and I hate having nightmares!!

    1. I did grab some more coconut milk (of the canned variety) and I already want to make some more Indian dishes! I don't think Stranger Things was that scary. It was unusual and intriguing. PLUS it had LOTS of early 80s pop culture references!

  13. Writing commercials for a living? wow not sure what to say there:=) on tv or mags etc? I've never binge watched - i guess cos we don't have Netflix or any of those things. cheers S
