Daiya's Pumpkin Cheesecake, Around The World, & Letter Writing

I was FINALLY able to go grocery shopping this weekend!  YAY!  I was oh-so-happy to be able to shop at Wegman's and I can't wait to share my findings with you!  I'll start with this Limited Seasonal Daiya Pumpkin Spice Cheezecake!

Yup!  I found it!  It was a delightful surprise to see it!  I know some of my buddies in larger cities and area might think I'm crazy but when I find things in my small(er) area I get excited!

I do, however, have a confession to make.  I ate half of this for dinner last night! Oops!  So...YEAH...I'm a fan!  It had 'just enough' pumpkin flavor and spice flavor, too!  It still tasted like a cheesecake but as you might know, it's VEGAN!  I would recommend this for those who enjoy pumpkin!

Another thing I would like to mention today is towards the bottom of my sidebar you will see I added a World Visitors graphic.  I have been searching for one of these for a while.  The others I didn't really care for but I'm totally digging this one so far.  I've always LOVED learning about different countries and cultures.  I think I mentioned it before, but when I was a teenager I used to have over 120 penpals from over 30 countries!  Which brings me to my next topic...

World Foods!  It's been a while since I have attempted to feature World Food Recipes that are vegan and I want to jump into that again!  I think these additions will inspire me to try new recipes and blog about them again.

And when it comes to letter writing, a while back Opal and I started writing to each other and I'm going to jump back into that again soon.  I have also been thinking about writing weekly letters to my niece Trinity, too!  I know she's only 5 months old but MAYBE my sister will read them to her and keep them for her.  I want her to know I think about her daily and show her how much I LOVE her.  I have been thinking of things that she and I can do when she gets old enough to understand.  I have a lot of ideas and I will surely share them with you once we are able to do them.

    1. I really liked it! Since it's just me eating it - I will be gnawing on it today and tomorrow so I don't waste any. I believe it was $7.99 at Wegmans!

Thanks for the feedback on the letter writing, too! I might actually start this week!

    1. The strawberry one was the first one I tried. I remember liking it - probably because I was craving cheesecake and haven't had any/many in the 5 (or so) years being vegan! More like a beggars can't be choosers type thing. LOL It was VERY VERY rich, I remember that!!!

  5. When I lived in Syracuse, NY, I used to shop at Wegman's.I'm not surprised you found the pumpkin cheesecake there — it was always a step ahead of other food chains. I haven't tried it but it sure looks good!

  6. Children make horrible penpals XD My niece is 8 year old and my older sister writes letters to her. She has to bagger her to write back. She also set up an email to help with her typing, and I wrote her a really long letter. Her response was only a few sentences long. lol

    1. LOL! It's ok if she doesn't write back. In her case I just want her to know that her crazy aunt LOVES her!! But yeah...I can see what you mean about that hahahaha

  7. That's a great idea to write to your niece. I'm sure that your sister will read them to her and keep them as a keepsake for her to read when she gets older. But if you really want to keep her attention, don't forget to add colourful pictures! I wrote a journal when I was pregnant with my first child. I bet she would love to read it now that she's eight. I should fish it out! Thanks for the idea! My daughter occasionally writes to her grandparents. You wouldn't consider them "letters" so much as random jokes and illustrations. But it's the thought that counts, right?

    1. That totally counts! I remember doing that with a friend of my grandparents, too! I called him Opa eventho he wasn't blood relation...we used to send comics cut out of the paper and send them with little notes to each other.

  8. Oh gosh!!! I can't remember the last time I wrote a letter. I do send cards when the festivals come around though, still - the old-fashioned way. Gotta get the Christmas ones out soon - these days, the snail mail is really slow.

  9. Oh man, that pumpkin cheesecake looks amazing and I've seen it at Whole Foods, but afraid to buy it for that exact reason. It would not last long in our house, haha!
