Mini Goals & Today's Smoothie

Last week I mentioned I was going to make another mini goal for myself and that was to do at least 5 morning smoothies per week (Monday thru Friday).  I'm on day 3 and so far so good!

Today's smoothie is...

1 Frozen Banana
2 Dates
1 C Non-Dairy Milk*
1 Scoop of GoL's Marley Coffee RAW Fit
6 Frozen Strawberries

*I used a combo of Coconut, Almond, and Hemp

This was tastier than I anticipated!  Just a hint of strawberry and coffee!  YUM!!!!

I have been thinking about starting another art/junk journal with the focus on adding daily things "I Enjoyed Today".  I've done art and junk journals before but I tend to go in spurts (like many other things I enjoy).  What made me think about it again is when I was watching Rylew's Video on YouTube on How to Journal for Alignment.  Once I grab a book to journal in I will make this a mini goal for myself once again.  Question of the Day: What is a NEW Mini Goal you have made for yourself?  If you haven't made a mini goal for yourself lately - won't you join me and making one now?  If so feel free to brainstorm in comments.  Everyone have a Blissful Day!

  1. I have so many mini and major goals, but the goal I'm focusing on now is choosing to be positive. I'm going to check out that video I could use some alignment!

  3. Mm I'm jealous of your smoothie!! I love smoothies but I only have a super rubbish food processor that doesn't process very well! A good blender is somewhere on my wishlist haha!! Hemp milk is awesome isn't it? They recently started selling it here and it's so creamy and good.

My goal at the minute is to take charge of my health as much as I can by trying to exercise more! I have a kettlebell and some dumbells and am trying to work out a few times a week. I've been toying with the idea of doing some yoga at home (I can't afford classes) but I'm not sure I have enough room to move about that much in my tiny house!

    1. My Vitamix was on my wishlist forever and I was lucky enough to WIN one! I'm thankful for that everyday! If anything ever happens to it I will NEED to purchase another one! I don't think I could live without it now! I do like Hemp Milk on occasion, yes! Have you tried making your own? You goals sound wonderful and I wish you the very best! I think community and networking is important with healthy lifestyles I know it really helps me! I would love to encourage each other ANY TIME :) Chin up, my friend! Yoga at home is just as good - if not better - than paid classes! I am doing everything at home and for free these days!!!! I will have to post a bit about Yoga in small spaces!

  4. That smoothie looks good. I've never tried a coffee flavored protein powder - I bet it's good.

My mini goal for the next week (before vacation at least) is to eat more real foods and less processed foods. I've been bad with that lately and I need to get out of that habit.

    1. Keep checking my blog on the weekends! I will start this weekend with weekly giveaways and I'm sure the Marley Fit will be on that list at some point! I know what you mean about convenience foods and vegan processed foods I am trying to eat less of it too! I can't wait to hear about your trip!!!!!

  5. What is a NEW Mini Goal you have made for yourself? My mini goal is pretty common--I want to lose a few pounds in time for our upcoming Caribbean cruise to 7 different islands.Even though I eat a healthy diet, I still need to tone up and lose a few pounds to be beach ready (in my opinion). I love to eat, and cruise ships are all about food, so this is no easy feat! (smile)

  6. That's a great goal, smoothies are a great way to get in extra fruits and veggies and I even toss frozen juicer pulp and veggie scraps in now. And this smoothie looks great, I need to get more of that Marley Coffee flavor!

  7. Sounds like a great smoothie! (maybe without the coffee ;p)
I usually have smoothies 5 days a week anyway. With the weather getting cooler, it may change to 2-3 though.
I try to set mini goals on a regular basis. One I have been putting off is to go back to training my pup a few minutes a day. I haven't done it in awhile and she really enjoys it and it keeps her brain sharp =)
