Latest Shipment From The Raw Food World

I received my latest shipment a few weeks ago but have been so busy that I had not had time to blog about it yet!  So today is the day...here's the latest haul from The Raw Food World!

I've been tinkering with more and more essential oils the last few months.  I have been researching and learning a lot and SOON I will be sharing some of the things I have been doing and using.

Here are the latest 3 oils I have added to my stash...Ginger, Rosemary, and Orange.

I finally bit the bullet and got my hands on a copy of The Art of Fermentation.  I know a few of my blogging buddies including Opal and Christine have this book and/or other fermenting books.  I'm looking forward to jumping in this new JOURNEY as well.

Also in this photo...Hemp Seeds...I was almost out...and a new-to-me-product I am darn excited about...Sun Root Sweetener.  The main ingredient?  Jerusalem Artichoke Root.

With this last shipment I gifted a lot of the products I have already sampled myself.  I bought some vitamin patches for a co-workers husband, a few goodies for a old high school buddy, and some items for my mom, dad, and sister - as well as - her husband.

I couldn't help but grab a few flavored Kale Chips that were on sale which came in handy during Fair Week.  Then you will see that I also got some Monkfruit Sweetener, too!  And that little blue bottle with the white cap is tooth powder that I thought I would try!

  1. I'm interested to hear what you've learned about essential oils. I've always been interested, but other than using lavender oil every now and then, I really haven't learned much. Yum, look at all those kale chips!!!

  4. I just took a bath with bath salts that had eucalyptus and orange essential oils in it, so nice ♥ Also, I've been using clary sage on my ankles to help with labor (baby expected soon)!

    1. Congrats on the upcoming baby! Those suggestions are great! I will have to look up sage oil - I would like to help family members with a few issues and would like to try some of the oil for relief

  5. The Art of Fermentation is AWESOME! But a little tricky. It doesn't have many "recipes" but gives more ratios and stuff. I get why, a lot of it is guess work, or the bacteria do their own thing and therefore the tastes will vary pretty widely. I find it great to use the lacto-fermentation for pickling hot peppers!

  6. I can't wait to read your blog post on essential oils! I've been using lavender regularly to calm myself. :) Have you heard about thrive market? I just made a purchase from them and will be receiving some goodies. I'll check out raw food world!

I love eating fermented foods. What are you considering fermenting? I LOVE kimchi and drinking kombucha.

    1. I'll have to check out Thrive Market! You should blog (more)!!!! Yes! Check out The Raw Food World, too, you will LOVE it! I never liked lavender growing up but the older I get the more I do. I have next to no experience with fermenting at home or by myself. At first I'm thinking various veggies but who knows I will probably get hooked and go all gung-ho LOL

  7. The Art of Fermentation is an amazing book. I regularly ferment as you know. Natural sodas and kombucha tea are the things I make frequently along with pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi and a whole host of other produce that require longer fermentation then my natural sodas and kombucha.

I've been a avid essential oil user, as you know, since the mid 1990s. I make all my skin care products and add them to some of those blends and use them for their therapeutic benefits.

    1. I knew you would comment on this and THANK YOU :)
I was thinking to 'just start' with some veggies but the natural soda intrigue me and no matter how much I read about SCOBY and Kombucha I still want to do it but am nervous to start since I don't have a SCOBY and want to start without one! LOL

As for Essential Oils - I've gotten REALLY into them and will be posting about them VERY soon!
