KC & The Sunshine Band Concert

Last week got away from me!  Eeek!  But...it's a new week and I am READY to GO!

This post is about a week and a half late and I am very sorry about this!

If you've been following my blog for a while and read the last few posts you will see that I was able to attend a few concerts this year and for that I am grateful!  Today I will be chatting about the KC & The Sunshine Band Concert I saw over at Chautauqua Institution.  You can read more about The Village People who opened for them as well!

I've always been a fan of KC & The Sunshine Band!  I really LOVED their unique sound - a combo of Funk, R&B, and Disco!

They are still rockin' it!  KC is certainly an entertainer!  He's still working that stage!  The Sunshine Band is amazing, too!  Very talented instrumentalists that is for sure!

They also had 4 dancers on stage!  From start to finish it was FUN!

Yes...they played MANY of their hits - including - Get Down Tonight - one of my FAVES!  A nice extended mix of "That's The Way (I Like It)" as well!  Shake, Shake, Shake (Shake Your Booty) was also performed!  "I'm Your Boogie Man" was another...and of course had the crowd dancing!  "Boogie Shoes" - can't forget about that one!  That's a goodie!  Eventho "Please Don't Go" went to Number One - it wasn't my favorite KC Song!  They did do it during the show and I think it was the only slow song they did...but...that was totally fine with me!  I know they did more but these were the most notable ones.

KC mentioned they have a new CD out but didn't perform any from the new one.

He seems to have a cool sense of humor, too!  Also a very friendly guy!  I went with my sister and a friend of ours.  After the show he told the crowd he would be around to meet and greet the audience and we did NOT go but I kind of regret that.  At the time it was getting late and we had to find my sister's friend to give them back their Parking Pass.  And after that we had a lot of driving to do...and that was after a long day of work...for all three of us!  I'm VERY happy we were able to go!  It was a great concert and fun time!  We enjoyed ourselves quite a bit!
