Apple Cinnamon Raisin Flax Cookies

What is this large "blop" you might ask!?  Well, it's the 'batter' for the Apple Cinnamon Raisin Flax Cookies I tried making a few days ago!

After mixing all of the following ingredients together in my Ninja I used a teaspoon to scoop them into small "cookies" and placed them on the sheets of my dehydrator.  I put them in at about 115 to 120 for about 10 hours.  I left them a little soft so you could probably put them in there for longer depending on what kind of texture you are looking for.

Here's the recipe I used...
2 C Flax Seeds - Ground
1 C Flax Seeds - Whole
2 C Water
1 Cup of Raisins (soaked in the 2 C Water mentioned above)
1 C Apple Sauce
1 T (or more) Cinnamon
1/2 Scoop Apple Flavored Perfect Food from Garden of Life

They are sweet, you can taste a good amount of apple, cinnamon, and crunch from the seeds, you can even see smaller lumps of raisins still in tact.  Overall, I like these, but there are so many other ideas I have swimming thru my head for more dehydrated cookies I am sure I will post about in the future, too!

  1. Ok so the blog does look unappealing, but the crackers themselves sound tasty!

    1. Can't wait to see what you do with it! I'm thinking about another flavor of crackers for this week, too! Also still pondering a "candy bar" or "Breakfast bar"
