Busy! Busy! Balance? And Books!

I subscribe to YogaJournal.  Both the magazine and the site.  They send me daily updates via email.  Sometimes their emails really hit-home.  Like this one for example...
We live in a society that promotes busyness: Work to get to the top of your field! Cook gourmet meals from scratch! Stay fit! Volunteer! It's often a struggle to find just a moment of downtime. And as we become busier and busier, even the activities that bring us joy can feel like just one more thing to do.
So, how do we bring balance into our hectic lives? Often, we look for some external solution that can make us better, stronger, more spiritual, or happier. But the search itself can leave us feeling busier, more stressed, and ultimately, less fulfilled. The real key to finding balance is to focus internally and listen to what's inside.

My friend OPAL and I have chatted about this often!  She's very busy, too!  She's been blogging about a busier schedule lately, as well!  So this was timely!

Actually one of the things I have been slacking on lately is my yoga practice.  I really must get back into it!  For me, specifically, it helps with my stress, my digestion, and my circulation!  Lately...my stress levels have been a little wonky due to work issues and my circulation in my legs seem to be questionable lately.  I'm not sure if it's stress, from sitting at a desk at work, or if it's because of the weather change...perhaps a combo of the 3 - not sure!  Regardless I really have to get back to my YOGA!

Another thing that I am behind on - which I mentioned in the post below - is my pile of books I have been receiving thru my InterLibrary Loan Program - which I am very grateful!

Special thanks to Erie Public Library for sending me this book!
I already see TONS of recipes I can't wait to try!  Especially several soups!

I'd also like to thank Reading College for sending me this one...
I have to admit I tend to skip-over recipes that have TONS of ingredients in them so this book is PERFECT!  I can't wait to JUMP RIGHT IN!

And...FINALLY...at least for THIS POST anyways...Special Thanks to Carnegie Library for this book...
Bryant Terry is also the author of Vegan Soul Kitchen - and I hope to locate that one SOON, too!  So far I am totally DIGGIN' lots of his flavor combo's and can't wait to see how they are!

I have 4 other books I will be blogging about soon and I will be making some recipes out of them sometime after Sunday!  It's going to be a BUSY weekend!  We have a Surprise Party planned tomorrow for my mother's 60th Birthday Party (among other things) and we have family coming in!  I hope to blog about that more next week and add Party Pics to my Facebook as well!

I'm kind of a Blender Geek

I'm Kind of a Blender Geek.  Not that I know a lot about Blenders, per say, but I do like LOTS consumables I create IN my blender!  Perhaps it's because it's so easy - not sure- but I have had some good luck with Blender Recipes!

That's why I thought THIS book...

would be right up my alley!  BUT - My InterLibrary Loan Program was unable to find any locations.

It's ok, tho!  I just might have to place an Amazon Book order soon!

A few other books my InterLibrary Loan Book Program was unable to find recently were...
BUT...come to find out it's only available via a Kindle Purchase!  Oops!  My BAD!  I don't have a Kindle but I have iPad.

My questions for YOU today are...
Which books are currently on your Amazon Wishlist?
AND/OR
Do you buy books via Kindle and/or iPad?  If so...where do you purchase them?

I have LOTS more books I will be commenting on very soon!  I have been a little behind on my posts - among other things!

Quintessential Quinoa Cookbook

The Quintessential Quinoa Cookbook: Eat Great, Lose Weight, Feel Healthy
Here is one cookbook I have borrowed recently that I might just have to purchase!  WHY?  Not only because it's a Cookbook focusing on Quinoa but almost every recipe has a VEGAN VERSION or Alternative noted at the bottom.  I found that to be pretty awesome! It was a fairly easy ready, had neat flavor combos and great photos!  This one I will be adding to my Wishlist!

I received a voice mail while eating dinner on Tuesday that I have two InterLibrary Loan Books waiting for me so I will be picking those up ASAP!

A special THANK YOU to Glatfelter Memorial Library for fulfilling my InterLibrary Loan Request for Mimi Kirk's Book "Live Raw"
Many people are amazed that she's OVER 70 years old in this picture!  I've been checking out her YouTube Channel every now and again for new videos and think she's a peach!

I'm looking forward to many idea starters and recipes as well as info about all sorts of stuff from her book!

InterLibrary Loan - Thank You Vancourver Washington!

I believe in giving credit where credit is due and want to THANK the Vancouver Washington library for sending MY local library a book I requested!  Thank you so much!  I also found this interesting because my Sororitea Sister ANNE is from Vancouver...small world!  Check out Anne's Awesome Food Blog here...It's called Hungry In Portland!  And don't forget to visit our Sororitea Sisters Site - FULL of Tea Reviews and MORE!  Which book on my InterLibrary Loan WISH LIST did they send me?  Raw Food, Fast Food (Simple Recipes, Faster Than Takeout) by Philip McCluskey.  I have followed Philip's YouTube Channel for a while now and he's a great public speaker and informational guru on raw foods...he lost over 215 pounds in 2 years by eating raw!  I'm very much looking forward to the recipes and info in this book!
