Tofu Tacos, Around The Community, Wegman's Vegan Finds, Nepal Tea

While I am still catching up on blogging and posting pics from my everyday life - here are some other things that have been sitting in my TO BE POSTED File.  First up, is my meal from Mad Mex in Erie.  They have some really wonderful vegan options.  This time around I decided to try something I haven't tried yet which was this plate of Tofu Tacos!  As you can see they were soft tacos with lots of sprouts, vegan sour cream, guac, rice, black beans and it was all sorts of YUM!  That was for my Birthday Dinner back in the middle of March.

March was also Women's History Month and our local library has a very creative and involved staff.  They had a nice display of Women's books and Authors.  They even did little bookmarks and such!  Really nice!

Another thing taking place at our local library last month was the Youth Art display in their gallery!  Here is just one of the pics I took of the walls.

Oddly, March was a REALLY BUSY month!  Yet another thing I participated in was an evening at the Library where we could speak with 3 electronic voting machine vendors to see which ones our county wants to go with moving forward.  It was open house style and you could come and go.  Some people stayed for a few minutes or up to an hour - but I found myself returning to each vendor with more and more questions and I think I was there nearly the whole time (2 or 3 hours).  I was there on behalf of our local League of Women Voters.

In this photo, you will see a really old staircase and wallpapered ceilings.  This was part of a tour I took in our community.  It's a historic home that was purchased by a non-profit that houses women who were just released from prison.  It helps them get back on their feet, find work, find housing, and rehabilitate.  A few of us are trying for some grant money for a Day of Hope we would like to do.

Another community event I attended last month, was our historical society's annual meeting.  It took place in our county courthouse.  This is a photo of the main courtroom.  What's significant about this courtroom is that it's the first (and maybe the only) courtroom where a sitting judge was shot and killed.  That took place in 1954.  The wood is still present and you can see where one of the bullets grazed it and I believe the other bullet might still be in the wood to the right (not shown).  But during this specific community event and annual meeting a speaker talked about a local home that he purchased.  Because it was the recipient of a Pennsylvania Historical Marker he told us what he could and could not do with the property and showed LOTS of photos of the house and land.  I found it very interesting because it's not even a mile from my parents house.

Here is a tea sampler set I recently received from Nepal Tea and I will be writing reviews over at Sororitea Sisters in the coming months!

A while back I grabbed some Vegan Tofu Ravioli at Wegman's.  It seems like it's been forever since I have tried anything from Soy Boy which is a company in Syracuse, NY.

Another item I found that day was these Oatmeal Raisin Cookies from Cybele's.  I have to say I had not seen them anywhere up until this point.  They were darn tasty!

And...behold...I finally got my hands on the JUST Cookie Dough.  OMG!  I'm eating it right out of the container.  Forget MAKING cookies!

Road Trip - Fort Wayne, IN, Lansing & Ann Arbor, MI...& Other Odds & Ends!

Guess What?  I'm STILL trying to catch up!  LOTS of photos and blabbering ahead!

Just like with the last couple of posts I will be posting photos in 6's.  This first set of 6 photos show some of the snapshots from the local history museum I briefly blogged about yesterday.  This tour of the museum was part of our local League of Women Voters Annual Membership Meeting in the fall.  Up top you can see a laminated Lithograph of a newspaper article mentioning our the radio stations I work for and the previous owner.  To the right of that (top/middle) it shows many historical WOMEN from our area!  Then you can see one of our long-time members presenting a 'League 101'.  On the bottom/left it tells about Chief Cornplanter who is/was a HUGE local historical figure here where I live.  Next...you will see an antique chest and sign...the sign made me chuckle so I took a pic of it.  Then you will see an old, restored wagon!

With this next set of 6 photos - I will start on the bottom first...you can see one of my many vegan mac and cheeses and then two plants.  The two plants are progress photos of the ones over at my parents house that you saw in yesterdays post, too!

Then on top, you will see a restaurant called LOVING CAFE and that was the first full day in Fort Wayne, IN, during our road trip!  You can see the state sign and a turbine windmill, too!

We took my new Fiat on the trip and it did great!

The first 4 photos in this set of 6 are from Stillwater which is a HUGE Music and Sound store in Indiana.  My husband is really into that stuff so we stopped by and saw their shops and facility and it was pretty amazing!  In the first photo you can see a SLIDE from the 2nd down to the 1st floor.  Next you can see a bunch of the pedals on display.  Then some pianos.  And on the next row a slew of mics.

The other two photos are some of the 'eats' that we found.  The one in the center is the choice of teas I had over at Metro Diner.  While we were there I had some of the best Avocado Toast I have ever had and it was HUGE!

The soup on the end was part of our meal from Loving Cafe.  I had Mushroom Pistachio Soup - it was terrific and RICH!  Hubby had a vegan cabbage soup!  He LOVED it!  We splurged and shared and had vegan chili cheese fries.  Hubby also had a salad!  Everything was AMAZING!

The first two photos in this set of 6 were taken in Wasbash.  Neat little town.  In the first photo you will see the outside of a home that was owned by Dr. James Ford...it's now a historical landmark for their community.  We learned all about the family and the Doctor who was also an inventor, philanthropist, among other things!

Back in Fort Wayne...I was able to take a quick photo of Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Bridge.  I wished we could spend more time at the bridge but we didn't.

I was able to take some nice fall foliage photos while we were there.  And the other two photos were from the Stillwater Building.  The car was once owned by ZZ Top.

While we were on this road trip we visited Lake Huron in Michigan City, IN.  It was chilly but neat to spend time there. The photo next to the shore is when we stopped at The Michigan City Outlets...we were among the first ones there that day.

I was able to spot some vegan finds while on this trip!  The Shampoo and Conditioner was our complimentary travel size ones at the hotel!  We stayed at Fairbridge Inn in Fort Wayne and it was clearly marked VEGAN on the outside.

I officially visited my first Kroger while in Fort Wayne, too!  I picked up a few items including the Treeline Vegan Cheese you see above.

We attempted to visit Barket Mansion in Michigan City but no one answered the door.  They were listed as OPEN on their door, website, Google, Facebook, and Telephone.  After the two of us and about 6 other people gave up knocking we all left.  Too bad.

I did enjoy walking around many of the towns/cities we visited and took several photos of local art and buildings.  I'm thinking about entering a few photos in our fair this year.  Let me know which ones you think I should enter.

I also stopped at my very first Meijer Store, too, and LOVED it!  I found a LOT of items there including the 3 items you see here!

Below those, you will see a railroad/train car.  That was from our roadside stop in New Buffalo, MI.  They had a Railroad Museum there that was pretty neat.

We then drove up to Ann Arbor, MI.  I wish we could have spent more time there, too!  I enjoyed trying to spot the local building art and murals.  You can see one of them above and a few below, too!  We also stopped at the Michigan Theatre but only for a quick photo.

In Lansing, MI, we stopped at Elderly Music.  Hubby thought that was pretty cool.  I found 2 cheap ukelele's and I was tempted to buy one but couldn't make up my mind which one to buy so I didn't buy either and totally regret it!

Behind Elderly Music was Burchard Park and North Lansing Dam.  I thought they made for some pretty neat photos, too!

I know I am jumping all around here but it's fun!  While we were in Ann Arbor we did travel over to the Kerrytown Shopping District.  Inside the main building, we stopped at The Lunch Room which was completely VEGAN!  I think at some point I will be blogging more indepth about this place but just a sneak peak today!

Nearby was more murals and art!  And two of the other shops I stopped at was a place that sold a variety of oils and vinegars!  I ended up going back and buying a Meyer Lemon Balsamic!  YUM!  The other shop was Spice and Tea Merchants and with all the tea I drink I had to stop!  I've actually had and reviewed some of their tea over at Sororitea Sisters before but just HAD to buy a few new-to-me-teas while there!

And speaking of tea...many of you may know that I NEVER add anything to my tea...no milk...no sugar.  Well, we stopped at a Biggby Coffee while in town and I noticed they had VEGAN options so I knew I had to at least TRY one of their Tea Lattes made with Coconut Milk...and I have to say it was pretty tasty!  They used Harney & Sons Earl Grey and Coconut Milk!

Here is another photo from Elderly.  Then more wall art murals...ELVIS...he was tucked behind buildings in an alley.

Then...FINALLY...Vegan Food...from The Lunch Room (Detroit Street Filling Station)!  Up top is their HUGE bowl of Vegan Mac and Cheese.  I believe it was Butternut or Squash Based!  I had that and took a bunch of leftovers back to the hotel!  On the bottom row, you will see more food!  Hubby got a salad...but at The Lunch Room...you don't JUST get a salad...you get a MASSIVE Salad!  It had peppered tofu, avocado, LOTS of different kinds of leafy greens, Salsa, Cabbage, Tortilla Strips, a chipotle ranch and cheese sauce - everything VEGAN!  We couldn't help it!  We had to get nachos, too!  It really WAS...way-too-much-food...but...it was SO GOOD!  On the nachos, they put their signature vegan cheese sauce, black beans, salsa, avocado...and it was AWESOME!

LOTS of Vegan Finds, Volunteering, Family & Friends!

Continuing with my updates - I'm jumping right in with the 6X6 Photo Splashes!  Hope you don't mind!  Many of these photos are from quite a while ago but I thought they were still worth a mention!  This past summer we spent a lot of time at the fairgrounds.  It seems each year we spend more and more time there.  Each weekend.  Many evenings!  Starting in Mid April and going thru Mid October!  We did a LOT of potlucks and community dinners.  It really does feel like a Commune down there at times - that is the part I like!  PLUS...I can share some vegan dishes that non-vegans seem to enjoy!  As you can see I was rocking the Florida Crystals this year!  It's a nicely labeled vegan sugar!

I did get a few of the Grainful meals for the camper freezer.  They came in pretty handy.

I made a lot of Tomato Salads...Tomato and Onion...Tomato, Onion, Cucumber...Tomato, Onion, Sweet Pepper...you name it!

The photo on the bottom-center was a few of us doing Voter Registration at a local high school.  The League of Women Voters always partner-up with the official Voter Registration Guru at our local courthouse!

And then you can see some more propagation experiments with that last photo!

A while back I noticed that our local Walmart started carrying more Sweet Earth products INCLUDING the Veggie Lovers Pizza!  I have to say this is a WONDERFUL Vegan Freezer Pizza, folks!  I can't wait to grab another one!  It was SO flavorful and I LOVED that it had 2 sauces on it!  YUM!

In the fall I did try and take more photos around town and you can see one of them with the railroad/bridge in the center.  Another thing I tried to get back into was Meditation.  I'm still trying with that!

I think I fell back on TOO MANY Vegan Mac & Cheeses this past fall - including the one you see here.  I do remember that one being a squash base and it turned YUMMY!

I also found some more Enjoy Life snacks at Tops.  Maple Sweet Potato?  I just HAD to!  Glad I did, too, they were tasty!

Here you can see a photo of my wonderfully adorable niece Trinity!  More photos of her to follow - because she's too cute - NOT to brag about, eh?

Another silly selfie on IG with a filter that gave me eyelashes.

Another photo from the fairgrounds from this past fall when we started seeing mushrooms popping up everywhere!  I just LOVED the colors!

The two photos on the bottom of 'this 6' on the right and on the left were from the Annual United Fund Kickoff!  Some places have the United Way and we have United Fund here.  It's pretty much the same idea...local charities and fundraising each year.  This is the 2nd year I was the Slowest Potato Peeler.  Now it's going to be 'a thing' and I will have to make fun of myself and it from now on!   It's all in good fun, tho!

The one in the center-bottom was the first of many Free The Girls IG posts!  More on that in coming posts but in short...it's a new service project for our local Zonta Club.  We have an ongoing drop off location for new and gently used bras for Free The Girls - based in Indiana - and they help survivors of trafficking start their own retail business in their own communities!  The 3 countries they have programs in currently are Mozambique, El Salvador, and Costa Rica!

In a RARE Day Off this past fall...I met up with my parents, sister, and Miss Trinity for a trip to Erie.  We found this artist and sculpture guy who reused and recycled items and placed them in his front yard as works of art - and BOY - were they!  It's FREE to visit!  Here you can see 6 photos of the outing!

Of course Trinity has to have unicorn stuff because I'm her aunt!  There was a car that was made into a spider...they often light that up with each season.  There was a 'dude' they dressed up like a Pirate for Halloween.  A wasp.  A 2-headed Dinosaur.  And a Flag Wall made out of License Plates!

Total Evolution in Warren now carries Earth Below Kombucha which is locally brewed in Emporium, PA, and I have to say I have enjoyed each flavor I have tried so far!  I can't wait to try more!  They have a tap installed at Total Evolution!  Woot!

Here you can see more about FTG (Free The Girls) and another Zonta Club post!  I will be blogging about many of our service projects soon!

I was telling you how I was trying to get more and more into plants!  Well, I started my parents in on a few, too!  You can see their green and pink one is doing better than mine!

I was able to find another BOOCH at Whole Foods Co-Op in Erie a while back, too!

Oh yeah...and a skeleton dressed up like a clown in a coffin from the Auto Art place in Erie is above, too!

More teasers, here, but I told you we took a trip to Indiana!  I will be posting more about that soon - PROMISE!

Trinity is pictured above in one of the first FORTS we made!  She LOVES them!  And BOY do we make some good ones!

Also this past fall I really needed to do some reflection so I went over to Kinzua Dam and took some photos!

I know I was telling you a while back about the new vegan line at ALDI well here is another Salad Dressing I found!  It was VERY GOOD!  It was a Tahini Goddess!

In the center on the bottom, you will see a group of people eating!  This was our 3rd gathering for the group we welcome from Erie from the Multicultural Resource Center.  We finally have a name for our group!  Welcome To Warren County Committee!

This Refugee group was 9 to 13-year-olds and they were so fun!  I was so excited to spend more time with them this time around!  They were Refugees from Syria, Eritea, Ukraine and a few adults from Ukraine, Bhutan, and Kyrgyzstan.

And just to finish up a few random catch-ups...the 3 top photos here are from our League of Women Voters Annual Membership Meeting in the fall.  We went to a small local museum that I had not been to but was glad I did go!  It was a neat place.

Then another photo of my parents plant I started them on, one of the photos from our Indiana road trip, and a random photo from a live remote broadcast prior to us leaving for our trip.

Vegan Maple Hot Chocolate, Raw Books, & Recent Stops!

This is my 2nd post of the day so be sure to keep scrolling!  This post you are reading now will be a lengthy one, too!  First up...I wanted to tell you about a lovely treat I am enjoying as I type this!  It's Maple Hot Chocolate from 3Leaf...and it's pretty incredible!  It's a combo of simple and pure ingredients including: Pure Cane Sugar, Raw Organic Cacao, and Natural Flavors...and it's VEGAN!  Today has been a dark, rainy mess of a day and I found this in my stash and FINALLY decided to try it!  I'm glad I did!  This was certainly a treat for me I don't have a lot of sweets and/or vegan dessert-like beverages or vegan hot chocolates.  It tasted like a darker chocolate with a nice splash of maple flavor!

I was telling you in my first post of today that I went with my parents to Sam's Club on Sunday.  My mother bought me two books!

Yup!  Here are the covers!  The first one is Raw Energy In A Glass.  I was excited about this one because I have the original Raw Energy Book and really LOVE it and I think this one I like even more than that one!  I already thumbed thru the whole thing and can't wait to try some of the blended soups, energy shots, and juice-smoothies...among others!

The 2nd book I got was this one and I about 70 pages in already!  It breaks down many of the fruits, greens, etc and tells you all about them and have multiple simple recipes on most pages highlighting that specific juicing or smoothie ingredient!

I know it sounds silly but I like the 'feel' of the pages!  They are thick and nice to grip!  This book is oddly sized but I like it!  It's tall and skinny almost like a half page in width.  I think it will stand out in my collection.  I can see myself referring back to BOTH of these books often!

Now on to some of the stops I have made over the last week or so!  In my travels for work I stopped at a local art gallery.  They have two art showings happening at the same time...and actually I think they are just finishing up with these two before they switch to another opening there!  One of the artists is a wonderful woman I know Ellen Paquette!  Her and her husband are so nice and SO TALENTED!  I linked her name to her website if you are interested!  I bought one of her Wee Beasties years ago and ADORE IT!  Check out her paintings HERE - these are the ones that were on display at The Crary Art Gallery.

Out of respect for the artists and their paintings and art I didn't take photos of them but here you can see some of the sculptures that are always on display at the art gallery!  Next...I'm looking forward to THESE oil paintings, too!

Yesterday - in between raining and crappy weather - I was able to visit Kinzua Wolf Run Marina and Docksiders Cafe up near Kinzua Dam.  Here is a photo from the marina.  In about 3 weeks this will look extremely different because then all of the docks will be full!  I hope to post more photos of my work travels in the near future.

Some of the roadside photos you will see in the next few months might just be over a lunch break.  A midday meditation of sorts.

Like these next photos from a local Pollinator Garden.  You may remember this garden from a VIDEO I did last year.

Here are some of my favorites from my recent walk thru the Pollinator Garden.  A group of local people do this garden every year.  They are called The Penn State Master Gardeners.

I hope to see more of what their group is doing at this years Warren County Fair and also our local Farmers Market which should start next month.

I'm also looking forward to seeing which growers will be participating in the local farmers market again this year.  Last year was a little rough on them.

And speaking of some of the festivities of last years Farmers Market I noticed you can see some photos of me HERE and HERE...from their Facebook Page.

That little sweetie is Cricket!  I can't believe it's almost been a years since we've had her!

You can tell from their PHOTO SECTION that it's a very Pet Friendly Farmers Market!

I'll leave you with one last photo from the Pollinator Garden that is under the direction of Penn State Master Gardeners and is inside Betts Park in Warren.  It's a large park here in the area that has many baseball and softball fields, Bocce Ball, Basketball, Pickle Ball areas - as well as a wonderful place to walk/jog/run along riverside.

I'm hoping the weather improves and it's more photo friendly so I can share some better pics with you soon!

Deal of the Day, Gratitude Journal, Vegan Foods & Finds!

First I want to apologize for the lack of consistent posts as of late.

Since I am no longer writing for the main site I did in the past I lost a little bit of drive it seems.  But after some re-thinking and pause I am back and have some neat things for this site in the works, I think!

I received some sweet notes from people who miss my foodie posts!  Thanks so much!  I needed this!  I will certainly be posting more starting with right now!

The first photo above is yet another vegan mac and cheese!  It turned out pretty good but I strayed from the recipe so I wouldn't dare try and remember it without my notes (which I do not have at the moment) but what I can tell you is that it's another Pumpkin Base and it was pretty yummers!

This 2nd photo is a quick pic of the Vegan Alfredo I made which was a complete cheat and not my own recipe.  I splurged and bought at Wegman's a week or two ago.  I didn't think the sauce was as smooth as I remember it.  I did get a deal on it, tho, I think the sauce was $3 off!

These lil pods of heaven, however, are my new favorite!  YUM!  I have to watch myself!  They are vegan and non-gmo and organic and all of that jazz!  But HECK they are GOOD!!!!

They are mint chocolate and to LIVE for!

I also found these at Wegmans a week or two ago!  I hope they continue to carry them!

Next up...cute Cricket posing!  She's been adjusting well.  I can't believe it's been more than 6 months since she's been part of our family!  She's about 2 and a half years old maybe pushing 3...she's a spitfire!  Certainly an Alpha Dog!

Since Suzie passed - our home was really missing that Alpha Dog in the house.  It's funny because she's a female, too, as was Suzie...I always tell everyone...you have to watch out for those BLISS girls!  (Mommy included!)  She's still only about 4 and a half pounds but has no idea her size compared to other furkids and furfriends!

One thing I decided to start doing in 2016 is start a Gratitude Journal...deal of the day...was me finding a notebook for 27 cents (tax included!)

I was looking at this site and then started looking at other journaling ideas, too!  This page isn't mine but I will be posting some of mine soon!

Encaustic Art

Before I get into posts from last week I wanted to do a quick post about Encaustic Art.  It's something I have been fascinated by for YEARS.  In a nutshell it's art and/or paintings using wax as the base/medium.  I'm not sure I want to actually use wax if I do get into attempting this form of art.  For kicks I quickly found out there are vegan alternatives!  Plant Based Waxes.  I just LOVE the colors in Encaustic Art that is what really draws me in.  I may pursue this down the road.  Just HAD to share in the meantime.

WOW Over The Weekend

This past weekend my mom, dad, and I spent about 4 hours over at Chapman State Park outside of Warren/Clarendon, PA.  We set up our Wildtree table but sales weren't wonderful.  Last year we did much better but last year we were placed directly across from this tent area that you see here - that's where everyone ate lunch...this year we were further down...but that's ok...it was a nice day!  I really love this state park and the area for this event.  The event was WOW!  It's essentially Women In The Outdoors...or Women Outdoor Workshops.  Sure many of them I wasn't interested in at all...the fishing/hunting/gun aspects but there were a lot of different things going on not just the things I didn't support or enjoy, thankfully.

Some of the things that were interesting to me but I still didn't participate in - because we were vendors instead - were...Wild Edibles which is also seen in the first photo!  You could take a tour around the park grounds and identify edible flower, herbs, greens, etc.  There was canoeing and kayaking.  There were people doing watercolor painting outside, too!  There was a lot of hiking which was cool!  There was a table of people making Squirrel Boxes...like if they get in your attic you can catch and release them humanely.  A few other things I noticed going on on the grounds were Archery, several cooking demos, even a Dutch Oven demo.

If I participated in anything I most likely would have signed up for the Yoga and Tai Chi.   I have photos of both here.  Another event I would have enjoyed was the Bird Watching.  I know there were some American Bald Eagles  that were seen that day!  GeoCaching sounds interesting and I know a lot of people who do it and love it.  There is a very popular Self Defense Class during this annual event, too!  And there was different classes on upcycling, too!  One of them used mismatched old silverware to make windchimes, birdhouses, and other decor.
There were many Drum Circles throughout the day, too!  We were able to hear those, to course.  There was a folk jam band there playing throughout the day, too!  I'm not sure if they did this class this year but last year I remember there being a class where you could build fairy houses.  Many of them where super cute!  They have various gardening classes but I hadn't seen them either year.

Hopefully next year I will get a full list of events to report back with.  I'm not sure if we will set up for Wildtree next year but I might try and participate in some of the classes instead.

As long as the weather cooperates it's a great day and venue!

Hiatus OVER! Vegan Options at Mad Mex & Trip Planning!

Well...long time...no write, eh!?  It's been a MONTH!?  OMG!  Sorry folks!  LOTS has been happening - so much that I can only share bits at a time.  First off...I have switched or should I say added on more tasks at work.  I'm now in sale in addition to many of my other 'jobs' there.  It's been good so far which makes me smile because the first quarter is the hardest so I am optimistic!

Then last weekend hubby and I went to Mad Mex in Erie and I was told by my brother in law that they had vegetarian options but I was almost overwhelmed by HOW MANY they had and vegan, too!  Woot!  Let's just say this is my new favorite place and I can't wait to go back!  I opted for the Angry Hippie Burrito! Yes!!!!  They have Tofutti Sour Cream and Daiya Cheese to make nearly anything vegan!  DOUBLE YAY!  I don't know why I didn't get a pic of the actual plate but the burrito was HUGE - it was the biggest one I have ever seen, actually!

But the food was just part of the experience!  I just LOVED the atmosphere!  The colors were rich and dark with brighter yellow accents!  The lighting was amazing!  The art work was on the verge of grunge but was totally rockin' it all over the place!  The tin and metal lighting and art was throughout the place as well!  I posted more pics on my instagram if you are interested in more!

I completely fell in love with this place!

Here was one of the lights!  Very cool!

Well, since I am writing this blog post in a hurry and from a 2nd account I will get right to the next part of my post!

I have been writing all along - while I was away!  I have been writing more and more for The Raw Food World News Site more specifically their Recipe Section!  It's been FUN!

Then...Matt has been doing live hang outs on Tuesday Nights so I have been trying to attend those as well!  I've been learning a lot from them!

I should be getting my next shipment next Tuesday so I will be sure to take pics of what I got!  Lots of cool stuff!
I've also been shopping in preparation to our trip for The Breakers that is rapidly approaching!  We will be going in March!

The more I learn about the place the more I feel as tho I will be out of my comfort zone...I mean...I'm NOT a girlie-girl!

So this is one of the outfits I grabbed recently!  I ended up getting a few more and the red/black dress (not pictured) I ended up really liking!  More on that down the road!

I plan on catching up on blog commenting over the next week!  I have missed you all terribly!  Please drop me a note - can't wait to hear from you!

Happy Weekend!

Goal Book ~ Page 2

Last week I started a Goal Book using Mixed Media and I reached all 5 of my goals.  This is what this weeks Goals are...but before I elaborate on this weeks goals...here's a short recap on last week...1 was to write at least 5 articles - I at least doubled that!  Another goal was to make at least 1 'World Foods' dish - I did 3 or 4 of them.  Then I wrote 'Start A Vision Board' - I started one but it's in the very beginning stages still.  I wanted to breathe more...more deep breaths...I was able to do that.  Then, finally, I wanted to laugh/smile more...I also did that.  Hubby and I started watching Brooklyn 99 on Hulu+ and it's sooooo funny!  Nice way to unwind at the end of the day.

So on to this week!  #1 on my list is to get back into Yoga.  Any kind of yoga!  I mostly do Kripalu Yoga but am open to others.  I also enjoy Yoga Trance Dance that was made popular by Shiva Rea.  #2 on my list this week is to visit my parents.  This isn't unusual for me - I try and get over to their place once a week or every other week - but - it's still a goal.  #3 is to send at least 3 "Thank You" Emails to people and places that I think are doing 'good things'.  It's so often we hear the complaints and not the GOOD feedback and I want to change that.  #4 is to text at least 3 friends that I haven't chatted with in a while.  I have two in mind as I type this.  Finally - #5 is to concentrate on LARGE salads for dinners most of this week!

Not only did I reach all of my goals last week - I have a good start on the ones for this week - AND - I found myself accomplishing a lot of OTHER things around the house and at work that I didn't include in my Goal Book!  I'm VERY pleased so far with this project!
