My New Blissful Addiction to Canva

I have a confession to make...I'm an addict.  An addict to this site called Canva that is.  I've been tinkering with it for over a week now and I am in LOVE with it.  I've made this graphic - as well - as a few others this past week that I have featured here - as well as some for a few newsletters and websites I contribute to.  It's so easy!
Here's just a few things you can do with it...Album and Podcast Covers, Social Media, Presentations, Posters, Facebook Covers and Posts, Blog Graphics, etc.  Actually...my new header for this blog is done with Canva...as is my Google+ Profile Header.
They have some really neat templates that you can use and/or you can tweak them easily to whatever you wish!  I took a few screen shots for you to see what I am referring to!  There are many FREE things you can do with it and there are paid for features, too, if you want something MORE.  So far - everything I have used - has been of the FREE variety!

Exciting Updates/News, Weekend Writing Warrior, and a Comfort Food Sidedish!

I'm spending most of this Sunday updating a few things on my website - such as the About Me/Find Me Section...I've decided to do clickable links on that page mostly for a cleaner look, and added a few things to the SHOP Page/Tab, too!  I'm thinking about redoing that page/tab in the future but I think I will keep the eye catching banners there for now.  I've been joining up as an affiliate to a few products, shops, and sites which you can find on both of those pages.

Another thing I am doing with today...is writing...I know...big shocker, eh!?  But I have signed on to guest blog for some companies, contribute to their websites and newsletters, and also have my own sites that I wanted to keep up with, too!  I have a slew of exciting things on deck so please be sure to subscribe to my site - on the sidebar to get the latest updates.

I'm working with several companies to bring more contests/giveaways to my site, too!  Very exciting!

And incase you missed it...I have officially started posting slide shows/videos to my YouTube!  Be sure to subscribe to my channel - all social media links at located in the About/Find Me tab, too!  AND..for my life in photos be sure to follow me on Instagram because I normally add pics to that before posting them with a write up here on my blog!

And...FINALLY...a bit about that food photo at the top of this post!!!

I used left over Earthly Choice Super Grains in this dish...which include red and white Quinoa, Millet, and Buckwheat...probably about 1 cup worth.  Then I added the following for flavor...

1/4 C Cashew Butter
2 T Minced Garlic
1 tea ginger powder
3 T Coconut Aminos
2 T Maple Syrup
1 T Coconut Vinegar
1 T Sesame Oil
topped with Hot Sauce to taste

The veggies in this side included a mix of...

Peas & Peas in the Pod
Yellow Bell Peppers
Onion
Broccoli

I'll be back tomorrow with more of what happened over the weekend.  In the meantime...I'd love to hear about yours!

Blog Randomness, Funnies, and Around The World Shout Outs!

Well, NOT 15...but a few!  I enjoy reading the search words and phrases that some enter to get to my blog!  Some make sense and others just leave me laughing and/or scratch my head.  Regardless here are a few that I have seen lately...

Wine Cork Leprechaun (Rock, Paper Scissors...I WIN!)

I'm So Irish My Liver Hurts (Well, LIVER alone!)

And While I Was Waiting (I waited LONGER?)

And speaking of looking at some Website Stat's...you know how I LOVE visitors from all sorts of countries!  It's not uncommon for me to see the following over and over and I appreciate them...USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Russia, Australia, China, Malaysia, Poland, Israel, Italy, Indonesia, Netherlands, etc.  But more recently I have seen more and more from...Morocco, Greece, Ecuador, France, Hong Kong, Jordan, Lithuania, and South Korea.  Now...I'm not saying those are the only countries that have people to visit me...just a few shout-outs to those showing up recently on my top hits!  Is your country not represented?  Let me know in comments!

Vegan MoFo ~ NOT My Best Work...

I'm not going to post a recipe today because I wasn't overly pleased with this attempt.  I'm trying to get thru these noddles that I really don't care for and also wanted to make a creamy sauce with lots of vitamins and nutrients in it.  It still needs a lot of tweaking!  I did use the following ingredients, however...Baby Spinach, Silken Tofu, Nutritional Yeast, Walnuts, Garlic, Lemon Juice, Grapeseed Oil, Tomato Paste, Tomatoes, Balsamic, Dill, Bread Crumbs, and on top I added a sprinkle of Wildtree Spicy Chipotle Ranch dry seasoning.  Again...NOT my best work but it filled the stomach, I suppose.

I did end of getting a new bowl at the Dollar Tree the other day!  I love the color - ORANGE or a brunt Orange, I guess.  I got another one, too!

Here's a closer look at the sauce if you are interested.

In other news I have made a few changes to my site!  I went with a different shade for the headline separator.  I added a few Gallery icons that I will be starting on various sites.  In my links section or "other stops" I added some more links!  As always the BOLDed ones are the people who comment back...in case you are looking for some new blogs to follow or new friends.  NOT all of them are veg, tho, just a heads-up.

Last night for dinner I tried Upton's Seitan Bacon Strips.  I did them in a frying pan on the stove top but I think I had them on for a bit too long because they were overly crispy.  I do have more left and may try them again tonight but just be careful how long I have them on there for.

I bought some Wheat Rolls from a local Deli and had  a vegan version of a BLT with them.  The lettuce was actually Baby Spinach but it was still great as far as the L and T were concerned.  I'm determined to make the "B" just as good with tonight's attempt.  I'm sure I will blog more about my adventures in Seitan Bacon soon!  Sorry this is a short blog post I was a little short on time today.  But tomorrow is another day, eh!?  How did your Thursday go?
