Lush Gourmet Foods Coffee Nuts & New Earth Chocolate Goddess Clusters

I'm so happy I was able to try each flavor of nuts Lush Gourmet Foods offers!   I LOVED every single one of them - all for different reasons!  They were FAB!  The last flavor I would like to share with you is their Coffee Flavor.  According to their website here is their product description of this flavor:
Have that craving for a cup of coffee? You can get your quick fix with Coffee Lush Nuts. Coated with freshly brewed coffee that has been cooked down to a concentration, this blend is great in the morning, after dinner or on the go!
My very first thoughts after biting into one of these was "COFFEE...is right!".  I'm not saying I am a coffee expert by any means but I do enjoy these coffee flavored nuts!  They were crispy and gently crunchy.  They were a little salty - just a hint of salt, tho!  The aftertaste is that of creamy peanut butter and a hardy coffee combo.  They were slightly bitter - but in a good way - and the peanut and salt - smooths it out a little nicer! Like I said...I'm not much of a coffee fan but these are darned tasty!

Another product I have enjoyed recently are the Chocolate Goddess Clusters from New Earth!

Here is a little more about this product - directly from their website:

According to our lab-generated nutrition label, our 4oz bag contains 2.5 servings. According to my eating patterns and preferences, our 4oz bag contains 3-4 servings.

**Formerly Chocolate Goddess Clusters, Brownie Love Bites have a new Delicious Name!
Now...because these have Raw Honey in them they aren't TRUE VEGAN by definition...they refer to them as BEEGAN or like I have mentioned on this website before Apian Vegan.  I found these to be VERY Brownie-Like!  You can only eat one or two at a time!  They are VERY RICH.  They have a delightful chewiness to them, too!  They are heavy on the chocolate and coconut and that makes it a wonderful sweet treat!  Right after I tasted all the lovely coconut it follows quickly with a terrific creaminess to it!  These are TOTALLY YUM!  But you can't have too many of them in one sitting!  But that makes it stretch even farther and last longer!

So there you have it!  Just a few products I have been able to try the last few weeks and have enjoyed!  Have your tried any new-to-you products in the last few weeks?  If so - what were they?

Irish Tomatoes & Hot Curry Nuts From Lush!

Some people refer to something like this as Irish Tomatoes or Breakfast Tomatoes or even Irish Breakfast Tomatoes - whatever you call them - they are easy and FLAVORFUL!  Of course you know me...I had to put my own little spin on them!

I've done these in my toaster oven before.  I added a little Grapeseed oil to the pan so they didn't stick.  In a case like this - any of the flavors would work - I usually like to use either the Garlic or the Basil Pesto!

Sometimes I just cut them in half if they are smaller tomatoes or sometimes I will slice them in rounds or dice them largely.  It depends on my mood sometimes!

I also like to drizzle a little Grapeseed Oil over top of them then sprinkle Garlic and Thyme.  BUT...these are fun because you can really put anything on them!  Any herb!  Any seasoning!  Do them plain!  Add Balsamic!  Or stand-alone with Nutritional Yeast!  You could also sprinkle some Daiya Shreds or real cheese if that is your thing.  I also like to add minced Garlic and Chopped Onions to these!  The possibilities are endless!  And they are OH-SO-GOOD!

I have another Lush Gourmet Foods Review for you today!  This time around...it's their Hot Curry Flavor!
This daring flavor has become a favorite of the bunch. The flavor of the curry is a wonderful compliment to the peanut, and the heat from this spice will leave you with a bite.
I LOVE Curry!  And I LOVE Spice!  So my level of spice might be a little over estimated by some.  For example...both my mother and sister do NOT do spicy at all...so they may want to stick to some of the other flavors.  BUT... found these to be AWE-SOME!

They are not overly hot but they have a nice spice!  A 'warming' aftertaste with lovely curry likeness to them!  They are somewhat candied and somewhat spicy!  I think they are perfectly coated!  They are really done to perfection!  If you like curry - these are a MUST!

PLEASE Scroll down...I have another post today!  And coming soon...I hope to have a review and a giveaway for the Vegan Delish App on iPad and iPhone!  PLEASE check back!  I hope your Friday is going well!

Midweek Munchies Collage & Green for Irish Week

For Midweek Munchies this week I figured I would just post a Collage of some of the items I purchased online!  I did a SMALL order over at VeganEssentials...and I needed more of my beloved Five Star Artichoke and Cashew Veggie Burgers!  I ended up picking up a few more items like the first 4 things in the collage!  BUT...the brunt of my 'buyings" were over at VitaCost.  I noticed over at CarrieOnVegan a $10 off for new customers.  It's a Refer a Friend type program.  I couldn't resist once I saw all of the things they had on there and at wonderful prices, too!  So I ended up getting my $10 off PLUS Free Shipping.

I then figured out...WHY NOT...sign up for the referral program, too!?  So I did!

If you want $10 off your first purchase click on the $10 Off Your VitaCost Purchase Banned on the right hand side of your screen at the top!  OR simply CLICK HERE.

A few of these are re-purchases for me but most of these products are new-to-me-purchases!  I'm excited!

I know I have posted VERY LITTLE thus far for Irish Foods Week and I do apologize about that!  Sure I did a Veggie Wrap earlier in the week but I will be doing more!  Probably tonight, actually!

I also did a wrap I didn't take a photo of!  It was a Guacamole with Sprouts Wrap...a Spinach Wrap...can't get more GREEN than that, eh!?

OH!!!!!!  By-the-way!  Nell is the winner of the Fearless Chocolate!  Congrats Nell!  I'll be contacting you for your snail mail addy, soon!

If you didn't win...you might next time...I have 4 more contests on tap!  Stay Tuned!

I've been rather obsessed with Lush Gourmet Foods' NUTS lately!  The flavor I would like to talk about today is their Cinnamon Spice!  It's a SWEETER Cinnamon and not a real spicy or hot cinnamon and I like that for this flavored nut!  Sure, I like HOT, but this is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it!  It's VERY GOOD...very tasty!  It's a sweet, subtle cinnamon spice and it lingers semi-sweet, too!  It has a slight aftertaste but the after taste is a pleasant one...not a funky one!  YAY!  It has a wonderful crunch without "cracking" your teeth!  It's  like a candied-nut with a sweet cinnamon flavor...it's REALLY wonderful!

Messy Veggie Wrap & Dark Chocolate Chili Peanuts

Last week I told you about a new Sprouting Kit I got and LOVE!!!  Well, I haven't been able to share with you YET what the Sprouts looked like!  Here they are!  I noticed they were more vibrant, CLEANER, they were more fresh, they air dried MUCH better, and they are more plush and even longer that my attempts prior to using the kit!  I absolutely LOVE this kit.  If there are any 'con's' at all I would only say that the 'screen' did rust a very little bit around the edges after the first time sprouting but not back at all.  I would suggest this kit to ANYONE!  It's really awesome!  Next I am going to start in with their blend of sprouting seeds!  But I do have LOTS of my radish sprouts to use!  And I did...check this out...

Last night I threw a bunch of stuff into a Spinach Wrap!  I am going to do many more of these BUT at least now I know these spinach ones are a little touchy.  It fell apart!  But...you can at least see my attempt here!

Yes...these are veggies from a can!  BUT...I did wash them first!

I figured canned veggies are better than no veggies at all but of course I do prefer FRESH and Frozen is ok, too!

Then I put some fire-roasted diced tomatoes on top of the veggies and on top of that I added a small handful of Daiya Vegan Shreds!

I heated this up a little bit!  That's were I probably went wrong!  With the wet contents and heated up a bit - that caused the wrap to break, I think...but it was still edible!  Just with a fork!

Where are the sprouts, you ask!?  Hold on...I'm getting to it!  I know I am long-winded...even when I write!

I melted the Daiya Cheese, too - as you can see here, underneath the sprouts!

I LOVE the color in this!  There is a lot going on but there are LOTS of colors, LOTS of nutritious things laid out here, eh!?

So...I wrapped it all up and was so excited!  I probably should have taken a few photos of this ordeal but I didn't.  I did get a close-up for the 'good' part of the wrap (to hide the fact it fell apart!)

And here it is!

Again, LOVE the color...

The taste was fine and dandy...

but it fell apart!  Oh well, thank God for forks, eh!?  LOL

I'll have another post today but it's heavy on the pictures, too, so I will post that in a few hours!

I thought I would mention another flavored Peanut from Lush Gourmet Foods that I have tried recently!  It's their Dark Chocolate Chili flavor and it was wonderful!   Upon opening the package it smelled a bit like Peanut Butter Chocolate Coffee.  It tasted like Peanuts and hardy Coffee Coating with a Peppery kick at first - then a dark chocolate with chili pepper kick - more defined and specific.

This flavored peanut from Lush was a little more crunchier than the other flavors so far but it completely worked in every way!  The Chili Pepper lingers longer, too, but has me coming back for more!  These are really fantastic!

I'm totally a fan of this company...that's for sure!

Yes...I'm a little NUTS

Yes, it's true...

I've always been a little NUTS!

Today I would like to blog about Lush Gourmet Foods, again!

This time around - their Salt & Pepper Flavor!

They smell a little more roasted than the Original Flavor I blogged about a few days ago!  I will say I like these 'just as good' - if not even better!

The original base flavor is prominent with subtle peppery notes.  Those pepper-notes linger nicely onto the aftertaste.  As I continue to munch on them they seem to get more and more peppery!  I really like the kick!

And I haven't had a NUT I haven't LOVED from this company YET...they are all GREAT!!

Just a short post from me today - be sure to scroll down to Friday's post for the CONTEST I am doing!

Juice Time Tuesdays, Lush Nuts - Original, Sprouting Kits, Near Future Plans

The Juice Guru is starting up Juice Time Tuesdays and you can read more about that here.  I will be doing my own version of Juice Time Tuesdays and blogging about it!  Since I didn't have enough Fresh Produce to do juicing this morning I am doing a Smoothie instead for this evening as a snack/dessert.  I'm thinking something with Berries and maybe Mango!  I will be posting the Aftermath tomorrow!  BUT...hopefully more organized for next Tuesday!

Since I had such a lengthy post yesterday I wasn't able to tell you about my very first experience with Lush Gourmet Foods YET...until today that is!  I received a nice package from them yesterday and inside were samples of their nuts!  I decided to kick things off with their original flavor.  I have to say I LOVE their website!  It's straight and to the point!  Check it out

All of their flavors and flavorings for their product line are vegan (among other wonderful things just take a look at their About Us Tab) so I don't have to worry about what's in them!  YAY!

This original flavor is the BASE for all of their flavors (and then they just build it on from there!)  As for the original flavor and the base flavor I REALLY love the flavor!  It's sweet with just a little bit of salt!  Perfect Ratio of flavors here and does WONDERS for the midday munchies attack I was having yesterday!  Just a nice-sized handful is all you really need to satisfy you!  They are absolutely delightful and I can't wait to try the other flavors!

Another thing I am going to be doing and SOON is this Green Sprout Kit!  I received it last week and read up on it last night!  I think the whole kit is an AWESOME idea!  A perfect all-in-one product!  I don't want to get too ahead of myself YET because I do want to do a more involved review and soon!

Tonight I will also be starting in with at least 1 Algerian Food dish and post the pic and recipe tomorrow!

I have been catching up on a few projects, too, and hope to post about them very soon!  LOTS in the works just quite incomplete at the moment!  But it surely doesn't mean I haven't been busy!

My mood has been a good one lately - I am very happy with the changes in my diet and the results I am seeing everyday!  I hope to start exercising again, gently, as I feel my foot/leg/calf/arch issues are on the up-swing!

"See" you tomorrow!  Comment, today, I LOVE chatter!
