Better Choices

Eventho I cannot remember where I bought this box of Better Oats Organic Maple and Brown Sugar Multigrain Cereal with Flax I'm super excited I found another new-to-me product.  I'm also thrilled it's organic!  I have been seeing more and more organic labeled items in my small town.  That gives me hope that there will be more to come!

It's been frigid all morning and that proves that fall is officially here.  It was 25 degrees on my way in.  A hot bowl of this made it better.  The texture is a little different but the flavor is good!

I'm day 3 on my no bread and no pasta run.  Day 2 on the official challenge.  As I mentioned yesterday - my timing is horrible to start this!  Not only is it Vegan MoFo and I have hardly contributed anything to the month-long blogging celebration - yesterday was World Bread Day - and TODAY is National Pasta Day!  Yikes!

But it's all about BETTER choices.  I'm been rocking the salads for DAYS and now I'm back into making my own salad dressings.

As an added challenge, I'm trying NOT to buy anything new at the grocery store this week and work off of what I have in my pantry already which is NOT MUCH, to say the least.

In case you were curious about the contents of this salad dressing here is the Blender Recipe for this Tomato Paprika Vinaigrette that you are seeing above....

2 C Cherry Tomatoes
4 or 5 Sun-Dried Tomatoes
1/4 C Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 C Garlic Grapeseed Oil
2 T Agave Nectar
1 tea Paprika
Onion Powder to taste
Wildtree Garlic Galore (or Garlic Powder) to taste
Pink or Black Himalayan Sea Salt to taste

Thrown Together Vegan Pizzas!

Another busy week is to blame for my lack of posts but I do have some things to share with you - I'm just a bit behind - that's all!

Last week I found this pizza crust at my local Tops Market that just happened to be VEGAN.  It's also Non-GMO and Organic, too!  They are long and rectangular and they come in two packs!

I was super stoked about these!  I'm NOT a baker - it doesn't matter if it's sweets or bakey type things like crusts - I screw it up EVERY TIME...guaranteed!  So finding these was like the sky parting and the heavens singing!  Even better I was able to use what I had on hand to make the pizzas!  Take a look at the additional photos below!

Starting with the first one...plan and simple...Vegan Cheese Pizza!  Yup!  That's shredded Daiya you are seeing!  I used a simple pizza sauce that was also vegan.  I liked that it only had just a couple ingredients in there, too!  I probably put these in the oven about 2 minutes too long.  They were really crunchy but that's ok because I like them that way.
Oddly - the leftover the 2nd day were even better and actually not as crunchy!

This was the 2nd pizza I did!  I threw leftover spinach, corn, and 2 Daiya Cheeses on there.  You can't really see the last bit of Jack Shreds I used but they are in there.  I was going for more of a Mexican Pizza here and you will see in the next photo how I topped it off!  I also sprinkled some minced garlic over top of this one, too!  It was totally YUMMY!  I enjoyed both but have to say I think this 2nd one was my favorite of the two!

All cut up and ready to eat!  Yup!  That is vegan sour cream you see there!  It was SUPER YUMMY with the Vegan Mexican Pizza!  And the corn really gave it that extra sweetness, too!  I think next time I am going to add some Chipotle Ranch from Wildtree to the Vegan Sour Cream.  I bet that would kick it up a notch, too!

So...what do you think about my thrown together - while using mostly leftovers - Vegan Pizzas - with new-to-me vegan crusts?

I was pretty giddy over all of this to me honest!  It was a nice treat and I was able to eat it for a few meals!

What's NEW In My Bathroom!

I've had a few people ask me about new products I have been using or things I have tried and liked in the not-so-distant-past so I thought I would share them with you today and if you like this post possibly more in the future!  If you are interested in any of these products there are links for each in the text under the photo!

First up...Rainforest at Dawn from Teadora!
I like this because it's both an exfoliate scrub AND mask that naturally tightens when dry.  You can use wet or dry.  Natural ingredients from the Amazon!

Acure Orangics Hair Care Products is next!  I have to admit I like the conditioner better than the shampoo but both are good!  The conditioner I have used once or twice a week and it really does CLEAN and plump the hair!  It also acted as a de-tangler for me, too!

Lip Balm!  Yup!  Gotta have some!  Check this stuff out!  It' RAWKS!
HURRAW!  Lip Balm!  My favorite is the MINT.
It's cold pressed, raw, and organic!  The flavors/scents are out of this world!

Deodorant?  No Problem!  Lazuli Organics I learned about a few months ago and I'm HOOKED but it's currently out of stock over at The Raw Food World.  I will be on the look out from now on that is for sure.  The other deodorant I like is the Thai Crystal!

This next product I cannot say enough about!  Healthy Gums BUT it's more than just for your gums!  This stuff leaves my teeth with the silkiest surface I've ever experienced before!

I don't use any/much make-up and don't really primp myself up much but there are a few products I have really enjoyed the last several months and these are IT.  I figured they were worth mentioning.  I would LOVE to know if you have tried any of them.  If you have tell me what you think.  If you haven't YET tell me which products interest you and WHY.
