Happy World Vegan Day everyone!
I almost wasn't sure what to blog about today until I realized I never told you about these two new-to-me products I found at Aldi's!
First up is their new Vegan Quinoa Crunch Veggie Burger! Not too shabby! I've actually bought these twice now and I enjoy them in wraps or plan with no bun since I have been shying away from bread this month.
I LOVE that VEGAN is mentioned in TWO places - one with the label and logo we all know and love at the bottom and again at the TOP in a nice colorful and fun font!
Next up is their Hummus. I should do an "Evolution of Aldi Hummus" post at some point because they keep getting more choices, more brands, and more packaging.
This what fairly unique in that it was layered with full chickpeas and other veggies and spices on the bottom. And that's in addition to the yumminess on top, too!
Normally I like my hummus creamy and smooth but there was something about this one that made it more like a full meal! Very impressive!
Love your Aldi finds! We have Aldi here too but lots of the products are different. We can get plenty of vegan stuff too, like beanburgers, various kinds of hummus, frozen spring rolls, almond or soya milk, and even vegan ice cream in two flavours. The cookies are sometimes vegan, but all seem to have palm oil 🙁. They even have a superfoods section with quinoa, cacao, maca powder, hemp protein powder, coconut oil, wheatgrass powder, raw fruit bars, pales bars and protein bars... I now do my main shop at Aldi!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see what kind of Aldi's products you are able to find where you are, too! I'm especially interested in those spring rolls, ice cream, and cookies you mentioned as we do not have those here in our small town.
DeleteI've always been curious about Aldi stores but have never been to one. I just did a search for stores near me, and it looks like I'd have to travel to California! Guess I'll stick to my local grocers. The burgers remind me of one we buy by Qrunch Organics.
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear about some of the local grocers near you, too, because we don't have a lot to choose from here! I love seeing what other areas draw from!
DeleteI love dropping by our organic shops here and sometimes, we do stumble upon some gluten-free stuff. Hard to find here and very expensive.
ReplyDeleteYes! The GF stuff around here is quite expensive, too! YIKES!
DeleteGreat finds! I've heard Aldi is the place to shop but there's none near me. :-(
ReplyDeleteWhen we first got our local Aldi a few years ago now - I was excited - but even more excited when I found out it was a sister company to Trader Joe's! Woot!
DeleteFun finds! I just just about all varieties of hummus and thanks for reminding me I need to get to Whole Foods again!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yeah! Hummus! It's the 9th wonder of the world - I swear!
DeleteI miss Aldi and Grocery Outlet. That hummus looks amazing. I see they've definitely stepped up their hummus game. And also vegan burgers!!!!
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to be at a Grocery Outlet!
DeleteI wish we had an Aldi's in the area! I've never been, but I've heard so many great things about it, from the products to the prices.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like they are expanding and revamping the stores too so keep an eye out!
DeleteOooh those burgers look great, I'll have to try them when I'm back.
